Lizard Racing
This is half of the AMT double kit of Porsche 910 and Ferrari 330 P4 Le Mans racers. It was initially built in the early '70s and has been in storage or on display since then. With all the time I have now, I decided to rebuild and (hopefully) restore this project to its former glory. The aim is to completely disassemble, strip and repaint. Anyone have any tips for dissolving 50-year-old glue?

Lizard Racing
Well, it's all disassembled now. Ready for cleanup and new paint. It came apart easily for the most part, since it was built almost 50 years ago. Hopefully it will look something like this when done:

doggie427
These kits were reboxes of Heller kits. I have seen a few done up very nicely. I’m sure you will have a great time with your rebuild
Gramps46
Enjoying your thread, keep it going please. FWIW, this is my build of the P4 when it first became available from AMT in the double kit. There are a few things I would have done differently now especially adding the flaring over the rear view mirror and toning down the side window frame. Lizard Racing
Well, it's mostly reassembled. This is the chassis with the body and wheels laid on. Now just waiting for body and tire decals from Indycals and VRM. Ferrari's designer Drogo really knew how to draw a sensual car!
