1/72nd pt-588

this is  one of the  new revell pt boat kits  they finally did a late war version of the 80 foot  elco pt boat 
i did mine up as a gun boat which alot of pt boats in the pacific  were convertited into during late war in 45   since  there were less surrface  ships and more  shallow  daft  craft like  patrol boats and barges   the pt crews ditched the torpedos and replaced them with more guns and the 8  shot  rocket launchers

i think the most famous pt boat is the 109

but one of our presidents was the commanding officer of the 109 and there was even a song about him and the 109 and what  happened that night in 43

Well, I will warn you, big rigs are addictive. Never built one but did about 2 years ago, now I have a shelf full waiting for me.
