landman
Almost 50 years ago, I was part of the team who located the route and did the engineering survey of the Algerian portion of the Trans Mediterranean pipeline. And, of course we ran around the desrt in Land Rovers. We had five, two wagons and three panels. So I am going to attempt replicating one of the wagons. I'll cheat a bit and add a resin winch. Wish me luck. Edited January 30, 2023 by landman
Bainford
Cool project, I'll be tuning in. Sounds like an exciting life experience. Are you in the photos?
espo
Sounds like a great adventure. You can tell the locals in the pictures, they're the ones covered up without a sunburn.

dino246gt
Great looking garage! Yes this kit is a pleasure to build, here's my finished engine: Cheers and keep posting pictures of your progress! (I made mine into a Series 2 body, but kept the modern engine because it IS such a pleasure of a kit) Edited January 16, 2023 by dino246gt
Tcoat
I love nostalgia projects! Nice to have actual pictures to work from though. The youngins' don't understand that pictures back then were rare since they actually involved forethought and cost money.
stavanzer
I like it. I notice that the Dark Coloured Machine has the odd Double Roof that Revell used on their kit. From the position of the gas can rack, looks like the roof could hold quite a bit of weight. I can't wait to see where this goes.
Michael F
The Revell Land Rover sure makes a great expedition vehicle ! Some modelers call this kit boring, but it works very good for my (fictioal) idea of a London to Capetown Landy. Looking forward on yours! Here is mine with a FEW modifications😀
c-plane362
Wow a T-2 with one of the original distomats, I still have a T-2 on my desk in the office. I used one for the boundary survey on the Everglades back in 1981.

GLMFAA1
One thing I found in building the Rover is that the exhaust has to go through the inner fender, so hopefully you haven't glued it to the manifold. greg

landman
What am I going to do about the lettering? I'm out of clear decal sheets and how do you write white on white paper? I wonder if Michael's would have the correct size and font cream lettering.
