1) Trying to figure out on this Mustang ("Lucifer" from DOH S1) what the red-striped things are on either side of where the grill used to be. I've got 'em circled.  And, can anyone show me clear photos of what they are, so I can try to make them?

2) Also, am I right in thinking the grill is actually removed, and that's the rad we see?  Or not?

3) Oh, and another thing.  Where can I find a hood scoop like that?  Haven't found anything in the resin line yet, not that I know it well...is this available aftermarket anywhere?

Can't help on the red things but I do know where you can find that scoop.

1/25 MPC 1974 Plymouth Duster | Scale Auto Model Kit Reviews & Reference

The '75 annual had one too. The MPC "Street Shark" custom Vette kit had one too but the sides were flat, not concave like the Duster annual kits and the one on the Mustang in the pic.

Happy hunting.

Those are the lanyards for the hood pins.

My guess is that those are heater hose cut down the side and placed on the edge of the head light covers.  Held in place with black tape  or zip ties.  Yes no grill on that car.
