John Teresi Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) Hello.......this is another older build.........I bought the body from Ebay.......it was a 20 lb. solid resin block body.......I was going to make a curb side......but decided to hollow out the body with a drummel .......which took about a day and a 1/2 to do......I changed the shape of the body to resemble the real car........ I scratch built the chassis, canopy, wheelie bar,and tins......... engine donor Don Garlits AMT Wynns Jammer kit........ wired and plumbed using reference pictures.......H.O.K. black.......WhoopieKat decals......thank`s Edited July 31, 2010 by JOHN TERESI
Dragline Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Seriously? it came as a solid block? Geez............Why would someone sell such a thing? Good thing they sold it to you buddy. Excellent in ALL aspects. I'm a Large Father fan too...... Bob

1320wayne Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Another superb build, John. Your paint work is by far some of the best.
bigmikevee Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Hey John, Very, very nice model, anything "Big Daddy" is good to see, you did such a nice job on this one, must have taken a lot of patience to get it just right. I am a big fan of "Big Daddy", but do not remember ever seeing this car before, would you have any history on this one that you could pass along for us? I have been to his museum twice as well, and just can't remember this one. But, it could just be me.... Anything you care to share would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for posting! Mike
Foxer Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 That's a gorgeous little dragster ... and of course, a fantastic build! Can't believe it was hollowed out ... it must still have some heft to it.
