martinfan5 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 (edited) I know 99% of you wont give a rats rear end about this , but the last Lexus LFA has rolled off the assembly line, that means that the LFA line has come end, and the first ever super car to be made under the Lexus name . http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/lexus-lfa-nurburgring-pack-final-car-2012-12-17 Edited December 18, 2012 by martinfan5
charlie8575 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Maybe the next supercar they make will at least be attractive. I never cared for the styling of that, at all. Charlie Larkin
Foxer Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 You want a beautiful Toyota, Charlie? ... man, you're tough!
martinfan5 Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 You want a beautiful Toyota, Charlie? ... man, you're tough! I think the FT-86/Scion is one of Toyota better looking cars
Longbox55 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Are they going to keep Kyle away from this one?
935k3 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Even though this is a ficticious rendering of SuperGT version, it would make a great looking racecar.
martinfan5 Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 Are they going to keep Kyle away from this one? Lets hope so I like the SuperGT rendering
Scuderia Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Lets hope so I like the SuperGT rendering I LOVE That rendering. That would be sweet in the display case..
moparmagiclives Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Really? That was short wasn't it? I thought it was a beautiful car.
Chuck Most Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Didn't they JUST START making these a couple of years ago?
martinfan5 Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 Didn't they JUST START making these a couple of years ago?Went in production in Dec of 2010, it only had a run of 500
Chuck Most Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Ah, yes... for some reason I thought they'd planned to build 500 a year, not 500 total. Even though I just read the article and saw that the last one was #500 of 500. Now... wonder what if anything Toyota is planning as a follow up?
martinfan5 Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 Yawn... And now you know how I feel about all the threads about cars that older then I am
Harry P. Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 And now you know how I feel about all the threads about cars that older then I am Ouch...
Joe Handley Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 And now you know how I feel about all the threads about cars that older then I am Touche
martinfan5 Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 Ouch... Not really, just playing along with you , if you were just joking, if not, then my comment can be taken seriously Back on topic for sec, Chuck, I believe, and I could be wrong, but I think the LFA's were built to order
RodneyBad Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Dang. I was just gonna buy one when I won the Lotto.. I thought it was a Great looking SuperCar with all the extras..
Roadkill2525 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Maybe the next supercar they make will at least be attractive. I never cared for the styling of that, at all. Charlie Larkin This coming from somebody so far stuck in the forties and fifties.
Scale-Master Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 If you didn't like the styling of the LFA, I don't think you should hold out much hope that you would like the next advanced design Lexus offers either, likely you would care for it even less.
Zarana-X Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I've only ever seen them on Top Gear. Cars like this are usually a study in R&D. Most of the technology will trickle down, eventually.
CAL Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I know 99% of you wont give a rats rear end about this , but the last Lexus LFA has rolled off the assembly line, that means that the LFA line has come end, and the first ever super car to be made under the Lexus name . http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/lexus-lfa-nurburgring-pack-final-car-2012-12-17 and hopefully the last ... Wonder who bought them? Considering you could have a Lamborghini AND a Ferrari AND a Porsche for what costs. On top of the reduculous price tag which they LOST money on every single one, its still a Toyota that took 12 years to see daylight that lost money and served no purpose what so ever and was about as successful as their F1 Program. At least Lamborghini people want and it is in the black.
