gotnitro? Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 The Bronco Buffalo 6X6 MPCV ..an engineering marvel. I added the Lion Roar bar armor update set to model a truck from Afghanistan. The Buff was painted w/ Tamiya paints, weathered w pastels. The arm is fully plumbed w rubber hoses, wire, and metal fittings. The ballistic glass was painted using Future floor polish and food coloring..2 drops of blue, and touch of green, mixed in a film canister of Future. The model won "Best Armor and Best Master Builder at a local contest Jeff
Edward Gore Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Super realistic. Very delicate handling of the details, right? Esp. the PE bar armor… that's insane
doggie427 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Beautiful model Jeff. How was the bar armour etch to work with ?
gotnitro? Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 Thanks! Yeah...the model requires a steady hand to move. The cage is really solid though...not as fragile as it appears. The cage set was well made. They include a jig to assemble the panels...and each one has a very small bracket that ties each one together. I hung them in groups of 4 panels.
george 53 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 WOW!!!!! That is REALLY unique! I've never seen one of those in scale!
gotnitro? Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Thanks for the comments! I should have mentioned the kit is 1/35 scale. For some reason photobucket is giving me fits transferring pics here, I'd show the arm and detail shots..

Apriliadan Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Outstanding job, looks so real, can not say I have ever seen one with slat armor before, I bet it takes just as long in real life to hang as it took to hang yours.
mustang1989 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Thats some good detail and excellent weathering/ wear!!!
