N~8~Ball Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 hey gang where can I find a digital version of model cars magazineis it something that upload it to my phone or PC Thanks
unclescott58 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I tried digital versions of both Road & Track and the Smithsonian for a year. It was OK. But, I've gone back to reading them in paper form. I'm not sure why I didn't like the digital versions in the end? I just didn't. Scott
Harry P. Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I will never like digital reading. You just did it right here.
Harry P. Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 There is a sample digital issue... for people who have never seen the magazine and might want to see an issue before they decide to subscribe: http://modelcarsmag.com/digital/168/#/0 But we don't offer the magazine in digital form at this time.
Guest Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I know. I do not care for books/magazines this way. Yes, I have a kindle, it was a gift, it only has free books on it, and does not get used frequently.
jbwelda Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 >I will never like digital reading. yeah all those 0s and 1s make it a real pain in the butt jb
slusher Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 I have a kindle but hardly use it. I like reading anything on the pc or I pad but I have to get an I pad. I used my father in laws and loved it...

cartpix Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I get a few mags, in digital form. I like it. I have less clutter, around the house & I can reference them easier.
Greg Myers Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 When I hold my magnifying glass up to the screen to read the captions all I see is little dots.
Mr Stock Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Although I prefer reading a physical magazine, I do wish Modelcars mag was offered in digital as I'm over in the UK and its impossible to get the magazine over here, it can be imported but its a silly price. I
Rob Hall Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Would be nice...I read Scale Auto, Automobile, Road & Track, Car & Driver and other magazines on my Kindle Fire tablet.
Harry P. Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Gregg talked about it for a while, but he hasn't mentioned it at all lately. Maybe I should ask him about it again, At one time he seemed pretty gung-ho on the idea. I know it would be a blessing for you guys overseas!
Brett Barrow Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) I'd be in. I'm pretty much a total convert. Heck, I'd even pay for it. Right now I just read our advertisers' copy. Edited July 2, 2014 by Brett Barrow

Bowtienutz Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I'm all in with the digital content. have been for years. I get a kick out of everyone that complains about digital content but are on this board daily.
Bennyg Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I love the idea of it being digital. Less clutter plus you can bookmark articles. It's the go. Cheers. Ben
Harry P. Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I'm all in with the digital content. have been for years. I get a kick out of everyone that complains about digital content but are on this board daily. I guess the "old school" types would prefer their online forums in paper form?
Greg Wann Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I much prefer reading the paper form on the toilet.
Belugawrx Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I much prefer reading the paper form on the toilet. 2 ply?
GlueTube Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Gents, Count me in on the digital side. Adobe Acrobat......then I print the pages I want. I am not a subscriber as I just cannot justify in my own mind the the "foreign subcriber rates" for mail. I would be happy to pay for the sub...not the outrageous shipping cost. Regards Brian
goldfinger Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Digital is great. I have all my magazines available on my tablet, with all articles of interest bookmarked . Sure beats going down to the basement digging through boxes trying to find that one article. Plus I can zoom in on pictures and text where a paper copy would just be difficult to see. I say go Digital!
