  1. Those cracks seem shallow and surface as Ace said... But they get toasty I know. That's the reason they are there in the first place. I am willing to wager they are expensive and since they are a racing rotor all the more so. What surprises me is not carbon.
  2. Stavanzer and I had a great trade. It is one of probably 20 for me in the 15 years I've been here. Strike that and make it 17 years here! How time has moved...
  3. Pecker Stone? Honestly......
  4. Saw this today. Best to just plan a trip to the bank into your day like we used to. Remember, convenience has its price.
  5. The German grey is my fave scheme on these. Super tight builds.
  6. Great car a superb build. I would be proud to say it was mine.
  7. Really great. Yeah, Stokes is a masterpiece no question. But you nailed it quite nicely. Not sure I would attempt such a kit. I even chickened out of my Huayra kit and sold it.
  8. Thanks for the comprehensive answer there Bob. I worked almost exclusively on Benz for 16 years and if this came into the shop I would have been dumbfounded. Actually I would have called and old friend who has since passed. He worked at Mattie VW and Viti Benz for what seemed like 100 years. He helped me when a 300SL came into my shop, I am certain he would have been a help with one of these. Although why one of these would be anywhere near my shop...... But saying that, why a 300SL came in is also one of those moments. Thanks for the history lesson and tech tip.
  9. Great projects. I hope they come out as you have envisioned them.
  10. TS-53 RULES! As said, it looks great on almost anything. Gonna be awesome!
  11. OK. This is gonna be seriously cool.
  12. Seriously old project that will get finished this year. I came across these pics and since I've been busy doing everything but building, I thought I'd at least post something cool. Off white with blue interior. A few plug wires and brake lines. This kit takes some patience, but it is rewarding me if I take the required steps to see everything is lined up and some thought has gone into things quite a few steps ahead. With those thoughts in mind you can get this result. Which I am proud of.
  13. What a hopped up machine Nicely done.
  14. Very nice Elky. I gotta ask. What does your stable look.like bro? For real, it must be extensive. Hows bout a pic or two?
