  1. yeah, that Corgi. I never had any Corgi toys, always Matchbox or Hot Wheels.
  2. wow, looks like it was built to survive children and/or cats, I can't wait to see how this turns out.
  3. Hey guys, I'm all for scale apearance but this is Patrick's version of a 69 Nova and it's how he is having fun with it. I think we can move on and enjoy other aspects of this build...yes?
  4. is it Matchbox or Corgey?
  5. this stuff rocks, and you can get it in colors other than black and it comes in several gage sizes. places like Fry's Electronics or Microcenter also carry these kinds of products for electronics techs/enthusiasts that do repars/mods. it can also be ordered from online sources like Mouser and Digikey but there's nothing like being able to see it and decide what works best for your detailing. alternatively, you can disassemble old electric motors/alternators/generators (even electric fans) to get various sizes of wire for free is you have dead electrics laying around. dead floppy or dvd drives have a ton of parts that can be used if you don't mind taking them apart.
  6. inset (frenched) fog lights would be a great mod (IMHO) to this, go for it! You might be able to carefully reshape the backside shape of the vette bumpers to match the body shape you are mounting them to also...it will look better later.
  7. I have a couple of the pickup versions, they look like they will be great builds as long as you're prepared to take your time and test fit everything.
  8. I did not know what it was but I've noticed Harry's trend of using foreign cars with what seems to be leaning toward Slavic/Russki choices so... since I remembered the Gaz pickup previously in this game I set my google image search to Gaz and let'er rip. I enjoy this game because I learn about new cars while researching the current game selection.
  9. you can have my L'eggs egg when you pry it from my cold dead fingers. I still have an egg-mobile to build.
  10. looks like you're getting the hang of it. what would you call your version of the Corvair?
  11. I think I've seen small disk magnets at Micheals
  12. and "baby oil" just where DID you think it came from?

    What if...?

I like the retro front end better than how GM released their current style, Dodge really hit a home run when they produced the new retro Challenger, their Charger I'm not so fond of...

    What if...?

this is nice, looks like something you'd have seen in Canada or Australia (except for it not being "right hand drive").

    What if...?

Thank you for the "thumbs up", this is in my "future project list" if I can find a '67 Galaxy cheap enough, lately peeps seem to want a fortune for glue bombs and the price goes up from there if it's unbuilt.
  16. I have seen this done (in scale) with BMF and a rod/pencil tipped with a small (and round) bit of fine grain sponge, this method might be a bit easier than using real aluminium and a dremel/drill press. The tedious and difficult task will be in getting a uniform pattern in scale, but if used with BMF should be easy to start over if you have some 0000 steel wool to buff out any mistakes and start over. this process was used on this:
  17. this might be of interest... some builders use a "dehydrator" to decrease drying time.... there's a whole thread on it in a different section.
  18. I didn't know we had a white flower, I thought we had a security torx for advanced search.
  19. I'm typing this with my nose because I have to sit on my hands to keep my snarcasm in check....I have to go now, my nose is bleeding from typing this.

    Some of my Art

    I concur.
  21. I see you chopped the roof on that Catalina next to it also. Looks good, would make for an interesting chop. Some practice with a "cloning" tool will help when fixing areas that have been changed but no longer look correct ( the pavement).
  22. try checking slot car parts, I've seen mesh style wheels in 1/32, there may be some in the scale you're building in.
