Just a little curbside/slammer. Been well over 20 years since I have built anything, just thought I should walk before I run☺️ A little mix of Bluebird 1600 and Skyline 2000. Please excuse my amateur photos.

Was just curious, does anyone ever lightly mist the floor and walls of their spray booths with water to keep down dust particles? I know whenever I may be at a body shop it seems they always spray down their paint booth.

Inquiring if anyone has had any success or tips on what clearcoat to use over the Revell chrome spray paint. Thanks

It has been many many many years since I have been at my work bench to build a model. Well have more time now so I went back into my model room and this is what has happened so far. A Doyusha Nostalgic Hero series 1969 Datsun Bluebird 1600. -
My 69

Thank you all for the kind words. I have owned the car for approximately 8 years. I have had a few Impalas and I wanted a 69. I found this car in Nebraska, the car was for sale for a couple of years and it would pop up from time to time during my hot rod searches. I knew the car had good bones but what made me buy the vehicle was a video and walk around that the owner sent me. The car came with the rims and was the same blue as it is now, I brought the car back to Orlando and proceeded to get to work, I performed all of the work on the vehicle myself in my 3 car garage. I installed a fresh 383 stroker with Mach serpentine belt drive system, a 200 amp alternator billet engine dress up stuff. I try my best to hide or organize as much wiring and hoses that I can and with running the Mother Thumper cam I also installed an electric brake vacuum pump along with a vacuum canister to bring the car to a stop. I installed a new turbo 400 with a 2500 stall. The interior was pretty good, I installed power windows, Autometer Cobalt gauges, all lighting inside and out replaced with LED's. I built a center console to house the temp and oil pressure gauges, it also contains an iPad which enables me to run my stereo and other apps, there is a Stinger volt meter and the NOS purge button located on the console also. An aftermarket Pioneer head unit is mounted in the glove compartment, sound deadening paint along with Dynamat installed throughout the interior, doors and trunk. I have a 12 bolt in the rear with an aftermarket Eaton posi unit, currently there are 3:08 gears but plans call for 3:73 in the future. 4 wheel disks 2 inch drop spindles along with a Ridtech air ride system. She runs 2.5 inch exhaust Flomaster 40's the exhaust also has a set of electric cut outs installed. The trunk as seen contains two 10 inch subs, amp the airride controls, 5lb NOS bottle a chrome fire extinguisher (just for show the real one mounted on the drivers side kick panel) all panels, carpeting the under trunk cover, lighting all done in my garage. The paint is a stock Chevy color in 69 called Dusk Blue. when I bought the car the roof was also painted body color (they removed the factory vinyl top) I wet sanded cut and buffed the body but the roof needed help so I decided to paint the roof black also done in my garage with a HF 29 gallon compressor and the awesome $12.00 HF spray gun. Of course there are a hundred little things small details that make the difference as in model building. I have attached a video shot at night, the car at that time had a K&N air filter and a few other things that have since been changed. Once again Thanks for the kind words. IMG_1127.MP4 -

Thanks for the kind words. The color is a stock color for the car, Dusk Blue, The stereo, yes no problem hearing it but really just needed to fill that huge trunk area with something. Thanks again -

Just love the cooling vents in front of the rear wheel well openings. I will call you later today to let you know whats been going on.

May I ask you, how do you cut your thin brass sheets. I thinking that they may tend curl when trying to cut them in certain areas and certain shapes. Thanks

You know this guy was also the driver of the famous Charger in Bullitt. He was the man in the 60's and 70's.
