    2008 COT

so many know I build petty cars , so sometimes freebees get sent to me of the petty variety, this car was sent to me minus the front splitter and cot wing spoiler, also the paint was dull. I used an alluminum drink can to replicate the missing parts , so here is another year covered in my quest to bild at least 1 petty car from 1949 until now
  3. Sometimes an accident can become a blessing, most of you know that I have a themed collection of petty cars well several years ago I built this earnhardt car, my wife accidently dropped it when we cleaned out my garage last summer so after fining all of the pieces plans are to build the petty ulrich charlotte ride decals will be purchased from mikes I will update my progress as I build it.or should i say rebuild it?
  4. hey jacen, got a question for you? if you noticed i put a light on the drivers side roof of this car, all the pictures i found shows this truck clearance lightt? what was that for oh great petty guroo. I know you may be the only one who knows ?

    1981 buick

I made this car 15-16 years ago - it was diecast which I repainted and the 43s are hand cut from white peel and stick decal paper. Since it is an old build of mine , i am making cosmetic changes and trying to keep it much as I made it years ago. I do have a question I made a grille using aluminum and screen what do you guys recommend for me to make the bumpers, looking at my kyle petty kit the bumpers (front and rear) appear as they would glue right in , I think this was the same mold, honestly , I do not want to buy a whole regal just for bumpers, so imput from you knowledgable model guroos would be appreciated on how I may make my own. I must warn you I have never used that plastic styreen sheets that you guys use.
  7. finished
  8. thanks - i think that would be the easiest to get decals for since i already have some oiltreatment/oilfilters ones
  9. I purchased a 1997 pontiac Bobby Hamilton Grandprix from my friend magnum4243. Man he did something great for me he sent me the kit and almost enough parts for another pontiac of that body style. I would love to know your opinions- you know it will be petty themed so what do you think I should build out of the spare parts car? I am leaning toward one of these 3 but will look at any ideas Andretti 1999 stp Pontac Hamilton 1996 all blue car or hamilton silver stp aniversary car maybe even one of your suggestions lmk what you think Does any one out there have any of the following that would complete the kit windows, any stp / 43 decals wheels and tires this seems to be all I need to build the second car Thanks so much for your imput Special Thanks to Magnum4243 for the extra project. _________________

  13. these are some cars i took apart, added new detail, and touched up the paint and clear coated, details included: window trim, chassis paint, window net paint, tape visor inside winshield, and painting hood pins , i did six over the weekend and wanted to make these diecast more my own
  14. Since Nascar introduced the COT as being a single template car does that mean that I can buy the generic chevy COT kit that is available and just use the decals for grille, and lights to create a Dodge? Or are the bodys different. It is my understanding that all of the real car bodys are the same. Imput is greatly appreciated, I want to build a Petty COT Thanks - clyde

  19. this is a 1994 wally dallenback diecast - I found it at a yard sale for $1 so I purchased it and have ordered new decals from mikes decals. I know it is diecast but , I do not have a flat front end pontiac in my petty collection, as you can tell this was a much abused kit, wish me luck.
