  9. In 1958 richard petty ran his 5th race of his career just a couple of miles from where i live at the wilson county fairgrounds dirt track. he finished in 5th place. Many think he ran a blue 43 with red numbers but that was not until 1959- he used his dads extra car in 58 using the numbers 42, 2, 0r 142. I have to be some where in a few minutes but i wanted to show off my first christmas gift of the season , I finished it today it is a tribute to that car. Due to time restraints I have to post a link to the pictures, I will update them later. Thanks for understanding enjoy! 13. finally got to work on this today, it ended up being a petty 50 anniversary dodge , so from chevy, to computer, to dodge. i scaned the decals on the computer and printed them on white peel and stick decal vinyl, this is my first attempt at that , i then cut each decal individually with a pair of sissors and exacto knife. enjoy.

  16. i know in 1970 he ran a superbird for petty, during any of the 15 races that he raced that year, did he ever run a plan roadrunner like richard did? i got a 1970 body and thought this would be unique if it had the #40 on the door.
  17. sometimes the kenly track was closed for a while and has recently reopened , the old wilson fairgrounds track is long gone, they still dirt track race in elm city at county line , i used to race go carts there

  21. not a jeff gordon fan = even though people say i look like him. bought this car at ollies for less than $10 i am converting it into a bobby labonte cot sppedracer dodge will post progress.
  22. Ok this will take a while because I have lots of pix of the build up to post on this ride. it started as a street car i built a few years ago, i decided to convert it because of the slope of the c piller, This is not a complete racing package, I left the interior stock , because A) I ran out of roll cage assemblys and no body sees the interior while sitting on a shelf. I did painstakinly try to make the body look right and those numbers were hand painted from a masking tape template i made, spoilers, tailight and headlight covers are made from recycled aluminum can. hope you enjoy these pictures Happy Holidays
