many of you know i want to build 1 petty car for every year the pettys have been involved in racing. I am planing to display my models at pettyfest on may 25 2013 in randelman nc , the king will be there and i thought i would show you what i am taking, lmk whatcha think- are there any cars that maybe i should leave home and what are your favorites? 1955 1957 1964 1968 1969 1970 1971

well this scene will take care of 1989 in my quest to build 1 petty car for each year of petty racing. note the lack of red on the hood and roof - this was the difference between the 88 and 89 scheme. I wanted this one to look some what unique so richard is inside( that was the mini richard thread i posted) I made the pit scene look with the extras in the kit , apiece of plywood and contact paper, a bent nail slightly tilts the pontiac to make it appear if it is on a jack. I tried to simulate brake rotors from the inner wheels. Hope you enjoy.

blue is global blue from walmart, red is florecent red marking paint

This was the last year with the petty blue interior, this kit was built from the 1990 Amt petty kit, markings were modified and silver headlight decals are painted on. Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking

had a micheal waltrip countrytime car so i made it into a daytona test car. I have seen the 24 hr. build thread, believe it or not this car took less than 4 hours to build

OKay so I have this pontiac body Magnum 4243 gave me , a decal sheet from another site member, a monte carlo chassis I built a while back , but no hood , what do I do? I made a see through hood that still had the look of the paint scheme , but allows the car to be displayed so others can see under the hood without opening it. I still got to make the missing windows but whacha think?

the petty blue looks mean on the new style car, petty blue was used last year too just look at my avatar. That new blue ford will be in victory lane this year. The last time i felt this good about a season Hamilton won at phenoix -ohhhh thats tommorow from 7th to 1st wouldnt that be awesome

A friend of mine found this car for me for $20, i thought this was very reasonable b/c this kit seems to be in high demand and hard to find. since i have a sprint montecarlo decal sheet i decided to merge the 2 decal sheets and create a 2001 Kyle Petty New Hampshire Dodge Intrepid. How does this represent 2 drivers? Glad you asked . Adam was killed in NewHampshire in 2000 so every race at that track the car was painted solid black to honor Adam . Hope you enjoy.
