  1. Thanks for the reminder! I forgot about this post!
  2. Dude, how many Cobra threads did you start?
  3. And don't forget this monster. The wheels and tires where always a sticking point with me, they just lacked the look
  4. Gas burns alot easier than Nitro! But really, what else is there to say? We have established that there was only one Drag Version. Funny car, Dragster or exhibition, there was only one. And luckily it still exist. So now, when will this come back?
  5. And here is the first "Funny" looking car. Yes, I know how they came to be called Funny Cars and it was the wild west of interpretation in the mid 60's. But, like any form of sport, what worked became the norm and next thing you know, they all looked like half used bars of soap.
  6. Just to pour more gas on this wreck of a thread....
  7. My LHS got them and sold out the same day! Now I have to wait for the next batch to show up
  8. Well, they still looked "Funny" "A dedicated funny car class was tried by NHRA at one 1966 national event, and at two in 1968, before Funny Car Eliminator was created in 1969."
  9. True, but, one must remember what was considered a funny car at the time, and not the modern interpretation
  10. The Keeling and Clayton car has 392 Chrysler style valve covers as the real car ran an early Hemi, but, it is the same 426 style engine block as the rest of the kits. They came with either the Hilborn butterfly hat or the Crower 8 port injector and scoop.
  11. Yes, this is the same tooling with new decals and a different nose.
  12. They are all basically this car, with the only variations being body panels, rims and injector hats
  13. Went to HL today and there was no Cougar. Our LHS has them already
  14. I do believe the snow tires are the same as the ones in the Blazer
  15. Yeah, old guys and really fast cars are not a great combination. We had a driver die up in Bakersfield a few years back. Never pull the chutes at full power all the way. Found out later he had a heart attack and was dead by the time he hit the finish line. A really bad deal Doug Rose also had prosthetic legs from an accident back in the 60's but he kept driving that thing. Not much protection when you are the tip of the bullet Vaya con Dios
  16. Sure, why not! They have been doing it with Volvos for some time now!
  17. Nothing ever stuck together with this horrible glue! But on the plus side, you could keep building the same model, over and over! As for the hair, I wore a baseball cap most of the time
  18. But, they can be done
  19. Yes, two other folks have posted that for me
