Sure, the Treser Coupe isn`t a beauty. In its time its retractable roof was unic. In the cutaway drawing good visible the place for the top turned back behind the seats.

Hi Rusty, thank you for the nice comment. The bad panel fitments are mainly my failure but I can`t imagine why: during the dry fitting tests all was much better. But during cementation the panels didn`t go to right position anymore. I needed to sand a lot from the inside of the upper edge of rear bumper to get functioning the engine hood. There were 2 - 2 pc positioning pins at the front and rear on hood: the two ones in front positioned the hood by holes but the fitment was even wronger. The two at rear had no function - there was no holes for position the rear bumper right. It seemed they were there for glueing the hood closed. So I removed the pins.

Italdesign Nazca M12 Concept 1991 Italdesign has always been known for supercar designs seemingly too far ahead of its own time. It is sure true for the debut creation of Fabrizio Giugiaro – son of the designhouse founder Giorgetto - only 26 years old when he conjured up the breathtaking form of this stunning prototype, the Nazca M12. The car has under its carbon-fiber body the 300 hp 5 litre 12-cylinder engine from BMW. Unfortunately seemed BMW didn’t want to go through an another hassle like the M1, so the M12 or the succeeder C2 never reached regular production. The model is built from the Revel 1:24 kit Skill Level 3. Well, it was not a simple work but some quality flaws made some vaguenesses. For example the square positioning holes were too great to the pins and so it was immpossible to connect safely correct. Enjoy the pictures. Some detail photo will follow.

1-75 story 08 Treser T1 Coupe/Cabrio 1987 In 1987 Walter Treser – the owner of a tuning company - had enough of "only" converting Audis. He constructed a small-production car: the Treser Roadster T1 with retractable roof. „We designed the car around the roof”, said Treser. The hardtop on the roadster slips into the gap between the seats and the engine compartment at the push of a button. The mid-engined cars main components came from the VW Golf GTI 16V with 130 hp and arrived 209 km/h top speed. Its plastic body is based on a welded, glued and riveted aluminum composite sandwich on a construction similar to Audis aluminium space frame. Difficulties in production and the high price tag led to the end of one of the most innovative tuners and manufacturers of Germany. There was built 25 pc totaly. Lancia Rally 037 Stradale 1983 The car was developed in collaboration between Pininfarina, Abarth and Dallara. First was built 200 street cars to correspond the FIA regulations. The first versions of 037s had a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder supercharged engine. Power was quoted at 265 hp, the last version had 325 hp due to a displacement increase to 2.1 L. The rallye team won the Word Championship in 1983, second in 1984 and third in 1985. It was the last rear-wheel drive title winning car. The models are made as usually from wood with rubber tyres. Some pictures are show the process of making a little model. Enjoy the pictures.

Bugatti la Voiture Noir 2019 This one-off car was built to celebrate Bugatti's 110-year anniversary, as well as in a homage to the second of the four Type 57SCs—the original "la Voiture Noire,"- driven by Jean Bugatti himself. After 2 years of development was ready the car which is not a hyper sports car like the Chiron, but instead a grand tourer now. The engine is 8 litre, quad-turbo 16-cylinder , 1,500 hp. The acceleration is 2.4 seconds to 62 mph. The body design has some new elements. The headlights are with an insect-like light pattern, the rear light is a wavy line of leds and there are 6 exhaust pipes. Like the Type 57SC that inspired the 6 pipes, the car has a central spine that runs nearly the entire length of the car, with the windshield wiper standing upright while at rest. The Noire had been purchased by an unnamed buyer who is "fascinated" by the Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe, for the highest new-car price ever — $ 18,905,235.- The great Interest in the Bugatti La Voiture Noire was so intense following the concept reveal in early 2019 that Bugatti decided to make 20 “budget” Noire versions. Based on the Bugatti Chiron model, they’re priced at $3.3 million each. The model made by a chinese manufacturer 1:24 scale. The ammount of gold decoration is a bit too much for my taste. Alas I saw only newly an other exemplar in more identical trim. Enjoy the pictures.

Maserati Birdcage 75th Anniversary Pininfarina 2005 The Maserati Birdcage 75th is a functional concept car to honor both the Birdcage and Pininfarina`s 75th anniversary. The car built on the carbon fiber chassis of a Maserati MC12 GT1 race car and powered by the Ferrari/Maserati F140 V12, rated at 700 hp engine. The upper part of the body with the huge windshild from front to back made of perspex is to open half-half by raising and tilting for- and backwards. The wheels measuring 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear. They were especially designed for the car. The Birdcage concept won the awards of Louis Vuitton Classic Concept, the Best Concept of the Geneva Motor Show 2005 and the L’automobile più bella del mondo. The car was completed in just 2 months, following a fast pace design phase using 3D renderings. The lone demonstrator model lacks air-conditioning or any form of climate control. In the great hurry they forget it ? The model is made by Grani & Partner (7 Eleven) scale 1:64. Enjoy the pictures.

1-75 story 07 Ferrari Modulo 1969 The Modulo is unlike any car Ferrari had ever made. It originally started out as a Ferrari 512S for testing. After the tests, the engine and transmission were removed and the chassis was given to Pininfarina to build a show car. The car was shown at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show. It was originally painted black, but was later repainted in white. The Pininfarina design was well received by critics and has won 22 awards for its design. Ferrari never meant for the car to actually function - it had an empty engineblock only - and later had given it to Pininfarina. But in 2014 they sold it to James Glickenhaus who restored it to full operating condition. The car is today road legal with licence plate and all necessary additons for drive on public roads. Lamborghini Bravo Concept 1974 The Bravo was designed to showcase ideas for a replacement to the Urraco. Marcello Ghandini designed at Bertone the fully working prototype with a 3.0L 300 hp V8 that powered the rear wheels. The car was tested nearly 270,000 km before went in the Bertone Museum. It was never put into production but design elements are appeared on later Lamborghinis. In 2011 was sold at an auction for €588,000. The models are in 1:75 scale curved from wood, with rubber tyres and inserted head and rear lights. That time I had only B&W photos so I found the Modulo is a dark colour – I tought Ferrari should be red – and the Bravo had a metalic paintjob. Now I know in reality the Modulo was black. The Bravo probably the champane coloured, after perlescent yellow and green and before todays white colour. The white Modulo is made by Corgi in the Rockets line in 3” size. I repainted it, gave headlights by decals and completed the wheel covers with the lower parts. Enjoy the pictures.

Up date: The exterieur of car is completed with the white accents on front lip and rear fin. The inside of endplates of rear wing is painted orange and the break kalipers too. It is pity that the kalipers are rotating with the disks together. The little one is made by Tomica 1:62 scale. It needed only some white and orange lines and the STO + italian colours in front of the windscreen to complete to the level of 1:24. (apart from the wheels)

Renault R40 F1 1983 In 1983 Alain Prost was undisputed no.1 driver. The RE40 was designed around his driving style, and he racked up many miles of testing to avoid the unreliability of the previous two seasons. The car was powered by a Renault Gordini EF1 turbocharged 1.5-litre V6 engine produced a claimed 880 bhp. This was the first Renault chassis to be built entirely of carbon fibre. Renault had never come so close to winning the constructors' championship as with RE40 in 1983. But the turbochargers themselves were to prove the RE40's weakness, and on numerous occasions turbo troubles end the race. Alain Prost later recalled that ťhat wear there was a good turbo to have and a bad one.” We had the bad one.” The model is from ELF as a give away at the filling stations. It was in a wrong condition. I must scratch build the missing rearwing and gave a more autentical paintjob. Enjoy the pictures.

GM Firebird I, XP-500, Firebird II, III and IV. General Motors never intended these cars for production, but rather to highlight the extremes of technology and design that the company was able to achieve. The cars have recently joined the exhibition at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan , and still make regular appearances. The models: GM Firebird I: I found some dimensions data in a hungarian book about cars in 1968. I used these to make a 4 view blueprint. During making looked the diameter of wheels rather great but I trusted in the data. It was a mistake. GM Firebird III: in 1987 I found a side view drawing in a magazin and based on it and photos I could make the drawings for curving the model. GM XP-500: I had a side view of the car and no more pictures. There was only mentioned that this is an „engineer” variant of Firebird II which is the „designer” variant. So I used the photos of Firebird II to make the necessary drawings. The newly found photos show the front and rear and they are rather different from my idea. GM Firebird II: there were some photos of the car but no one from the rear. A gentleman who saw the car 1:1 in USA said that my idea of the wings was correct. Later in the internet time it became clear it wasn`t correct. GM Firebird IV: in 2011 on the page of SMCars.Net (the page don`t exists soon) I found drawings. I detailed it and made cutaways of the interieur to do miniature model. There was built one in 1:64 and one in 1:75 scale. My drawings emerged on the pages of cardesignnews.com newly. Enjoy the pictures.

Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Racing Special (XP-87) 1959 It was originally conceived as a race car, rather than the concours queen it has become. Bill Mitchell - then Vice President for Design at GM - in 1959 decided to pay the princely sum of one dollar to bring the test mule Corvette SS out of a premature retirement. But being a designer, wanted to flaunt some of his team’s aesthetic creativity. The after-hours project took place in the ‘Hammer Room’: a secret work area hidden behind a tool room. The car had the fuel-injected 4.6-litre V8 producing 311 bhp and arrived 155 mph top speed. It made its debut at the Maryland Marlboro Raceway at the hands of ‘Flying Dentist’ Dick Thompson, and narrowly missed out on a podium finish. The Stingray reportedly had a tendency to ‘take off’ beyond 140 mph, with its aerodynamics failing to provide enough downforce at the front end. Subsequent modifications were made, which proved successful enough for Thompson and his steed to bring home their class championship during the 1960 SCCA season. At last the GM bosses showing interest in turning it into an official show car for the company. The model made by Auto-Art scale 1:18. I was lucky to get it with a rather good price cut in a toy shop. Enjoy the pictures.

Yes, it is at Hotwheels during the presentation of the Gas Monkey Corvette in 1:1 and 1:64. Richard Rawlings and his Technical Direktor might start the 1:64 variant from a 4 m high Hotwheels track. Richard was the winner of race.

Rolls Royce Phantom VI 1972 The Phantom VI was produced with an engine 6230 cc, 244 HP connected to a 4-speed automatic and arrived 180 km/h top speed. Only 374 units were built between 1968 and 1990. This particular unit was built by Mulliner Park Ward with electric windows and rear seats, black and white television, separate FM radio and air conditioning for front and rear compartments, a drinks cabinet and an intercom and telephone system. The car includes a radio station and transmissions too used by police. The car was owned at some point by a former princess from the Middle East and got this colour combo. She used this car in Paris and has travelled 9,906 miles only. The car is now in the Tiriac Collection in Romania which is the only current gallery that features all 7 Phantom models of the I-VII series. The model is made by Tomica 1:78 as a Phantom V. But the last Phantom VI was built by special order of the Sultan of Brunei in 1995 even so it was named Rolls Royce Phantom V Limousine. So I betought that I may name the Tomica Phantom V after the custom painting as Phantom VI. Enjoy the pictures.

1-75 story 05 Alfa Romeo BAT 5, BAT 7, BAT 9 Bertone concepts, 1953 – 1954 – 1955 The cars originated from a joint collaboration project between Alfa Romeo and the Italian design house Bertone and designed by Franco Scaglione. Alfa Romeo commissioned three concept vehicles to research the effects of drag on a vehicle. Each of the BAT cars (Berlina Aerodinamica Technica) based on an about 100 HP 4 cylinder engine with a 5 speed gearbox. The BAT 5 arrived 200 km/h with its 0.23 drag coefficient. For the BAT 7 Bertone added elements from his experience working in the aeronautical industry. The front was lowered and the the tail fins were larger and more curved. The result is a drag coefficient 0.19, an achievement even by today's standards. The BAT 9 was designed more like to the then current Alfa Romeo models than the other BATs. All three original BATs have been restored. After some appearances at car shows and museum they were sold as one lot on an auction for US$14.840 million. The models are curved from wood as the earlier ones but they got a bubble of transparent plastic and so were more really models with windows and interieur too. Enjoy the pictures.

Lamborghini Essenza SC V12 2020 The Essenza is a track-only sports car, produced by Squadra Corse racing division of Lamborghini. It isn`t a racecar only built to ”race” in a series of special Essenza only track days at circuits around the world. Emanuele Pirro, the five-time Le Mans winner who helped develop the car is on hand to give advice to Essenza owners. The car is based on Aventador SVJ but with a lot of differencies. The car is powered by a version of Lamborghini’s long-serving 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V-12, running without catalysts and now making 819 HP. It is the most powerful and the last purely naturally-aspirated car built by Lamborghini. The car is 136 kg lighter than the Aventador SVJ and features a FIA approved carbon composite crash structure and a carbon fibre monocoque which is the first to be homologated without the use of metal roll cage. A journalist got a prototype of Essenza to test drive at Vallelunga, wearing a warning “Attenzione: Macchina Veloce,” or “Warning: Fast Car.” The model is made by Jiglifang/China 1:24 scale. Enjoy the pictures.
