  1. Beautiful build, Bob! One day I'll build mine, but I gotta find decals for this car:
  2. The movie was recently re-released to DVD in true 1.85:1 widescreen, not letterboxed to fit 4:3 or 4:3 pan & scan. Cheesy 80's flicks rock!
  3. I like it! The wheels from a Tamiya Subaru rally car?
  4. Sweet project! If I ever do another Fisher kit, this is at the top of the list...
  5. Thanks guys!! I have the Chap kit hiding in the pile too... I'm really starting to dig these simple slot/curbside builds!
  6. Nice builds, but I'm more partial to the FHP version at the top
  7. Nice and clean, as always!
  8. Cool! I have that kit hiding in the pile... I'll build it, someday...lol
  9. I never understood why they chose the coupe version of the Jag, a roadster version would be sweet!
  10. I was a little rushed this morning, so here are the rest of the pics I shot:
  11. Nice build! Gotta ask, how did you make the base?
  12. Formula 560 canopy glue from Pacer. Slow setting white glue, cleans up with water. Great stuff!
  13. Finally finished the Scarab! It's the old Monogram SSP issue with a few mods and the Ricambi detail set. I made a new roll bar and exhaust pipes from aluminum tube, made a wider pair of rear wheels from the slot car wheel inserts and some parts box rims. I also cut open the rear f the body and replaced the kit screen with one made from scrap PE mesh and .010" plastic sheet. Color is PPG Ford Viking Blue and Tamiya TS-26 Pure White.
  14. Yes, they did make a 1:24 Super Seven Series II kit, but no Caterham version like the 1:12 scale kits.
  15. How about re-posting that beautiful Seven in your avatar?
  16. Replicas and Miniatures of MD has a set of Minilites specifically for this kit... they are really nice!
  17. Looking for help getting a decal made. Thanks to Nicholas Henson, I was able to get my hands on the long out of print Ricambi decal set for the old Monogram mid-engine Scarab racer. All was going well until the last two roundels were going on the car. The sheet had been folded at some time, and one of the roundels/numbers shattered into too many pieces to put back together on the car. The project is now stalled, and I absolutely do not want to strip it for another version. I have a 300dpi scan of the original sheet, and was hoping one of the ALPS gurus could print up a couple of the roundels. Thanks! Brian
  18. Cool builds! Where did the Rockwell axles come from?
  19. Again, RESPIRATOR!! While great paint to work with, it is dangerous stuff if not used properly (more so than enamels and lacquers), and proper protection used. It's actually easy to shoot, gives really nice results, and doesn't yellow like some other clears do. I've sprayed it over enamels and lacquers, and over decals with no problems.
  20. I really like this one... No I want one of these kits...lol!
  21. Revell '50 Ford, stock flatty and black wall tires from the parts box, emblems and trim removed with mounting holes drilled, and finished with Plastikote gray primer rubbed with a microfiber rag to knock the fuzzies down.
  22. Good to see the SVO again, but too bad they didn't bother to correct the exhaust and the rear spoiler, or at least improve the front corner lamps and turn signals. Intake is wrong for an '85 as well.
  23. You made that old kit look pretty nice - not an easy task!
  24. You really have a knack for those builds, and this one is no exception. Nice work!
