  1. Very nice, very clean build!
  2. Very nice!!
  3. Too lazy to hunt pics, but here's what I'd like to see: McLaren F1 roadcar Ferrari 166mm Barchetta Porsche 550 Spyder 1st gen Jaguar XK-8 Lotus Elise 260/289 Cobra (nice one, 1/24 plastic. Acc Mins... AAARGH!!!) Cobra Daytona (see above) Jaguar XK-13 prototype USA spec Infiniti G35 and G37 coupes Hyundai Genesis coupe Ferrari 250GT Lusso Jaguar XJ-6/XJ12 coupe And a few more, of course :-)
  4. Thanks guys!! This was a fun build, and I sorta suprised myself with the way it turned out I started with a small piece of foil a little larger than the caps. I set the foil down, adheasive up on the backing sheet, then placed the cap in the center. I slowly burnished the foil in place working from the center out, then finished burnishing with the side of a toothpick untill I could wrap the edge, and trim the excess. A little buffing with a piece of cotton t-shirt finished them off.
  5. I'm diggin it!! WHere did the wheels and tires, and those wild tail lights come from?
  6. More pics:
  7. Already setting a a build record compared to recent years! AMt '49 Ford kit. I lowered it, spliced in a '65 Corvette front clip/suspension, and swapped in a 9" axle from the Revell '32 Ford kit, along with relocated parts box shocks. Wheels are from the kit with parts box baby Moon caps covered in BMF, mounted in Revell '49 Merc tires. I used the kit's engine block and trans, parts box heads and intake (AMT '49 Merc?), parts box carbs and air cleaners from the Revell '49 Merc. Other details include plug wires, vac advance, brake line, oil lines, fuel lines, and a beehive filter. The interior is stock except for a steering column from the Revell '32 Ford. The tail lights are leftover bits from the Acc Mins Corvette Grand Sport, and the tag light is from a Monogram 427 Cobra. I also carved the smooth custom hood to fit over the stock grill, and made all new windows from .010" K&S clear sheet. The body is Tamiya TS-60 Pearl Green, the interior is XF-21 Sky, with AS-2 lt grey on the floor. The wheels and engine block are also XF-21 Sky.
  8. Very nice!! And yeah, it does capture the shape better than the Italeri kit.
  9. Beautiful build!! I want to do #0722tr with mine, but can't find decals. Guess I'll have paint it all
  10. Looks pretty nice to me!
  11. That is nice!!
  12. BEAUTIFUL!! There's a coupleo fthose 1:12 kits I'd love totackle, but Don't have any place to put them...
  13. Which one? There's a curbside version and the full on Enthusiast version. I built the ES version a few years back (no longer have it), and frankly there are alot of parts that can be left out, because they are hidden. Lots of small parts to assemble, sits a little too high, and the wheels and tires are a bit small. The proportions look right, and overall it looks like a 246 Dino. take your time test fitting, and your patience will be rewarded with a nicely detailed model.
  14. As said above, gloss black! The wheels on this Ford are my second attempt with Aclad, sprayed over Testors gloss black enamal:
  15. Nice work saving that one!
  16. That camera I have now is a Kodak Z712is that i picked up on sale for $150 last year. 7.2m, 12x optical zoom, PASM modes with a good set of manual functions. The last two models I posted, the yellow '06 Mustang GT and the Ferrari 512s were shot with this camera. Under kitchen florescent lights: Under natural light, in the shade: And I shot these in natural sunlight with this same camera: And even got a decent pic of the moon with it: It's a versatile camera, but it is a bit slow processing images, and struggles with indoor lighting. Still, for the reletively small amount of cash, it's hard to complain about it. My next camera will definitely be a DSLR though.

  19. Nice build - very clean!
  20. Looks right out of the movie to me!
  21. Thanks guys!!
  22. Sweet little ride! Certainly not something ya see everyday, and well built too!
  23. Nice!! That does look like a tough job to decal, and you pulled it off quite well. Nicely done!
  24. You have to have your pics hosted on a server, or on a photo sharing site like Fotki or Photobucket. Then to post the pics you copy the pic url, hit the "img" button, paste the url, and hit the "/img" button. Repeat for each pic.
  25. More pics: Makes the '65 250LM look sorta boring!
