  1. Thanks ,
  2. Yes, they are pretty rare and go up to $70 bucks on ebay sometimes I think another one molded in white one was retooled or silver.
  3. Thanks a lot, I forgot to give credit to MsDano85gt for trading a new body, since I had screwed my original one up! and helping me make this build happen by doing so ! That guy is a 80s mustang expert Freak! lol
  4. oh and brass tubing for muffler ...
  5. This is a MPC mustang svo, pretty much stock besides the addition of flocking and a few battery cables. Primered, sanded, painted Krylon gloss black, krylon clear, and novus 1 and 2 applied afterwards. All coats of paint were speed dryed using a dehydrator. Any comments good or bad please feel free. I know the mustang might sit a little high, but it is normal for an MPC kit, It is hard to lower the suspension on this one.
  6. bought my nesco dehydrator for $20 from a guy on craigslist / came with extra trays and it was the tempcontrol one
  7. I would I bet in a dehydrator , look for used ones on Craigslist . It will cut down on the headache and will protect the model from dust. Buy one with a temp setting, 115 f Max to avoid warpage
  8. Thanks for the metallizer info, well the paint is duplicolor red / metal specks . I think silver base sounds good for that color. thanks
  9. Hi, I am going to use duplicolor red metallic , I was wondering if primer as a base is fine? Or do I need primer, a coat of silver, then the metallic paint? Or instead of silver metallizer? And what does metallizer do?
  10. wow , I will definitely be using silly putty to mask chassis, thanks for the great hint !
  11. sounds good , I think i will purchase a dremel I think it will help sand or cut parts when lowering vehicle ride heights.
