I think much of society has the wrong idea of what building models really involve lol. My dad actually requested me to build a truck for him, (AMT 1957 Cameo). He summoned me to build this car to test how far iv'e come skillwise. He has recently asked me how the truck is coming along, I am not even halfway complete !. It takes patience, time and $$ to build a decent model kit. Besides the initial model car purchase, i think I spend a total of an additional $20-30 for resources utilized to build a decent, not super detailed model kit. Sometimes there are setbacks that can make your current project seem like a chore, when this happens, its best to take a break and work on another model that is currently in a different stage. One model kit on average takes me 3 weeks. If I was asked to build several cars for a stranger or a distant friend,I would almost get insulted lol. I would feel insulted because of the time, patience, determination, resources, and hard work it takes to build a nice kit to just give it away! and not be able to look at your beauty in a display case as many times as you may want!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should probably not let paint dry on the brushes or get a better brand of thinner
-
Kleen strip is not wrking for my brushes lol, it just makes them hard and leaves paint in them. Normally if I had restored thinner it will strip out pair immediately. Testors thinner is expensive for what you get. Idk what to do at this point. So gun wash? That's the name of what u use? What is it?

I would like to know what you guys use to clean brushes from enamel paint. I have tried to use wal marts cheap thinner and it has not cleaned them. Is there any other product I can use to strip those brushes of paint and make them useable once again?

Hi, I was just curious to know whats the most copies of one kit you've guys have bought? . I have now acquired about 5 amt 67 chevy impala kits in my collection, this is one of my favorite cars of all time. it looks good as a stock car, lowrider, pro street, etc. Possibilities are endless. How many copies of one kit do you fellow modelers store in the stash? Are there ever too many copies of one kit? lol ,
