RyanSilva replied to Paul Payne's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
AMT 66 Galaxie has a SOHC, along with AMT 68 Shelby mustang gt 500 also. Model King Henry J has one also. And as Zeb said, the Model King AFX mustang and falcon have them. -
Oh hey Jurm!! haha didnt realize it was you. Im planing on making a 2 part mold myself. Il be learning with ya.

Im looking for this info to, one thing ive read is your basicly taking clay and filling in everything and to square up the sides and wall, so you can cast 2 or more piece mold.

Been a while since i updated, but i have till april 15th (masscar model show) to get her done, ive been slacking lately. I still need to pre register! ahh, wish i could stick to one project but it really is not possible!!!!! I managed to mock up the engine, it clears the radiator, now to see if the pulleys fit!. added balsa floor. and im not sure if the firewall will stay, of course it will have a mild bump in the back, we shall see. made a new boom to. -

Everyone pretty much has it covered, il just point out, that dont get the cans that hot! warm is fine, skake it, get warm some more, but you should still be able to handle it with bare hand. If the gas is to hot to the point of a towel being needed, the can will explode. Its happened to me, i wasnt near it thankfully, its something that isnt cool. The can wasnt new either thankfully again   . its messy and can spread shrapnel like a grenade! Usualy the indent at the very bottom pops out in reverse and it creates that ''smuck'' sound like when you first open a jelly jar.

wow thats a kick in the face, i was hoping for revell since i need them also. Ohwell. Thx for the heads up.
-
Modelhaus has the trans kit, but its just seperate pieces, the site doesnt say if there revells. Plus you will spend the same amount on the sperate items than you would on the dick landy 68 charger.

Looking for drag racing forum
RyanSilva replied to charlie's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have been looking for engine shots of jenkins camaros and novas for ages, and no luck. Thankfully a friend is sending me some in the mail. Ive got a bunch of the cars themselves just not many engine shots. -
She looks great man. Thats one good thing about the new stockers at wal-mart, you dont need to use the supplied body! i have a few old builds im gonna convert, if i can only find these at my walmart!

small update, made the cab guard, some balsa, sewing pins, and grease spatter guard for the screen. still need to paint it. -
Nice Work!! what did you use for the tarp? and how

Picked up some FredCaddy decals to build Bill Jenkin's 68,69 camaro and 68 nova. I really need engine shots of any or all 3 cars. I have photos of the cars themselves just not the engines and any other detail shots. Also the 68 had a 396, as well as the nova to, what other engines did he run in 68? (he entered 4 cars that year) also the 69, that was first year for prostock, so was it a smallblock?

try soldering some metal in the shape of a human to create a skeleton just some rod or tubing, nothing fancy. Then use sculpy clay, the premium stuff, its only one dollar more, and its softer. carve away, might wanna pick up some clay tools while your at it, not needed, but they are easier to work with. Get the shape you want and minor details and bake it. Then do the last toiuch details like the eyes etc..
-
This guy usualy has the engine. http://stores.ebay.com/MasterDetailer-Detail-Parts check recent feedback because it sold, maybe it will be there and you can see the engine.

Anyone attending and entering this year? This will be my first im looking forward to it, its on april 15th if i recall.,
