  1. Ive looked for these bcause i really wanted to build some old old digger FED dragsters from brass..but NO LUCK... There out there, most are in 1:1 form and cost about 70 dollars, i look on google about once a week and still nothing.
  2. ROFL they do look angry ... hehehehe Looked like a great time, i really like that rusty cab and chassis chevy, and the 59 impala short tracker, and that falcon to! looks like a fun time
  3. Thanks so much dave, that is the first real summary of whats included in this kit, thank you so much.
  4. 40 ford! But dont chop it, henry did a good job right from the start,
  5. WOW! thats great news.. a new flattie.. that is sweeet
  6. Well that sucks! I was about to make a order for a boat load of 5 dollar kits..and now this, dang it. I wish him luck with his next project
  7. This kit has allready been found at some wal-marts across the country..no luck up in Mass though..
  8. NP, yea the holes are there since there circle track. But i think sewing pins will work as the rubber grommets.
  9. http://www.fredsresinworkshop.com/misc_items_page_2.htm I believe Fred was given permission to cast the bumpers. email him. bumpers are on the bottom.
  10. Ditto to what everyone has said, I like to back up the ambro weld with some super glue after the ambro has tacked up a bit. It holds it in place.
  11. If the Fonz likes it, i like it. Love that color. similar to sonic blue on the 2004 cobras
  12. I believe someone on the japopy journal owns that 55 still. Il do a search some time.
  13. Cool build, il be following. I like the suspension you made, though way to high to be called accurately a ''gasser'', i would call it a street freak though, those things were awesome.
  14. Very nice, look forward to more. Also its a altered not a gasser
  15. I got something that wil help you.
  16. baking soda., but ive been using the 2 part system from michaels, only I..let the paint harden and then i break it off into small amounts and put it into a small dish with the rust solution, and let it sit for couple days.. then i file the clumps into dust. I use the dust as what you see on that roof. I sticks there via dulcoat painted on with brush.
  17. I say Willeze also, if its wrong its wrong, but i wont change the way i say it.
  18. The topellino bodied car was called ''Quad Al'' 8 slicks, 2 tires per axle and 4 allisons. sadly he never got to run the car, had to sell the engines or something. Now each engine costs like 40grand each.. and there arent many left.
  19. I use poly scale decal solvent.. its harsh stuff, so it really softens the decal. I then use a paint brush and wipe it every pass on a cloth. The downside is the paint gets real soft so be careful. That roof isnt finished its still in its weathering form, i have since added more rust powder and body color to seal in the edges. heres a old one done the same way.
  20. Well I know majority of the members here are over 30, but im 22, have been building kits since i was 6 years old. My father wasnt a big builder, but he did build when he was a kid, and he did build when i was 2 or 3....then id try riding the model and it ended up smashing.. he was cool with it.. hehe. anyways, i will be building the rest of my life, or as far as the hobby is alive, i wouldnt worry about the slack, everyone here has 50 years+ left in them... i wouldnt worry about it. lol
  21. I use 2 part 1:1 RTV SILICONE, measured not weighed. its from ebay. heres a link. http://cgi.ebay.com/Simple-1-1-Mix-RTV-Sil...9QQcmdZViewItem I still have 3/4ths of the bottles left, and have made about 10 molds.
  22. Yea the cabs in my city look like they barely run, mis match wheels, black smoke, worn struts and springs, so they bounce all over!! smell like cigarettes, dents everywhere and plenty of dirt outside of it! but i like yours
  23. Awesome, great that the kit comes with the panel job decals. Im buying this just for the American Standards 4 slot wheels..
  24. I would go turquoise, just to add to the different color scheme
