  1. thats just awsome !! and yes maybe wash the wheels with some black so it crwals in the seems and creases of the chrome that will gove them depth btw when i look at the way you build this .. and this is ment well i would think about buying decal paper in the future .. i mean that welder looks sooo fr... good and then you stick a paper logo on .. how nice would it have been with a printed decal under some clear .. again no offence / harm ment just enthousiasm ... it really is a very cool build > love this
  2. well thats one i have been wanting to build myself !! so i'm going to like this build .. i did some research and found more jeeps like this (didnt save the pics) the one you whowed is the one you find most pics of .. and well doent this just look bad ass !! plus you can really anoy the purists hahahaha
  3. nice tools an cabinets but you where right to replace the foor and walls , looks great .. if you would really look good its like you said the beams on the boards are a bit thick ... scale wise but with everything in it looks good nice job !!!
  4. cool . love the door btw !! and the parking meter !! and .. is that a baby aligator ??
  5. ooh thats a old build haha i see most pics dont work ... hmm those wheels where in the kit i believe .. tyres are out of my partsbox so i couldnt tell where from
  6. oh whow that is a awsome idea with the license plate holder !!!!!!!
  7. haha cool and now you are here and well the revell version i think is easyer to build . i def. want to buy revel version in the future .. i have some plans for an even wilder merc lead sled with like rear wings and .... yes well i was at the benc from around 09:00 and stopped around 22:00 ... i just couldnt stop lol all in easy going mode ... bit of internet inbetween
  8. wild @@ ! love it
  9. cobra man > cobra build > yuup haha cool kit and scale !!
  10. to start , those seats and bumpers look great .. so no need to talk yourself down , then we all started somewhere , one thing will help you if you restored cars you have like the knowledge how stuff looked before and you know how to put stuff together .. i would read up on the salt technique paint wise if you want to buils crusty rods or barnfind cars .. also chipped paint tutorials are out there .. in the end i think you can also just try stuff that worked for me , everybody has their own style ... and if this is you as a newby to modelbuilding i think you will show us awsome result very soon like the way the seats and bumpers are done that takes > having an eye for that stuff .. anyway have fun because weathering modelcars for me is the most fun build wise ...
  11. interiour dryed up nice and matt more work on the engine compartment
  12. and if we go clean and glossy why not make the enginecompartment even cleaner > just a start will get more detail
  13. n i have like different shaped files , like a set ... they are small metal files but work wonders on styrene and bondo .. just filed it smooth .. i use those a lot and when the styrene is still shiny and you file it you can file untill everything go's matt and then sand with fine paper .. and its perfect yes i agree , although i must admit the amount of work that went into this one amazed me .. like its been a lot of work .. off course if this would have been a revell kit it would have been easyer .. a lot of fitment issues and non perfect casting did cost time .. but in a way this is not a bad thing because its more of a challenge ... maybe nice a before and after the paint dryed more matt already i did not have a spare wheel .. so i went into the partsbox and found the righ diameter tyre , boigger and the trunk wont close due to the hinge .. and put a steelie in there
  14. thnx and yes i am glad i did not chop it the proportion of the big sides and roof to me are perfect due to the changes i needed to glue in the dash now and in between teh sides instead of on the front where it should go , with the lowering and all the tub just needed mods to fit ... left a gap for the glass placed the shocks glued on the rear of the bench .. and after this shot flattened that and sanded the seems first paint sand color interiour , i will ad a second color ... still glossy i just sprayed it on so that will dry completly matt and i know the dash need to be the bodycolor , but since it needed to go in already ... so that will be painted whatever color the body will be
  15. whow did hours of dryfitting today , making like a plan how it will al go together later on after paint i already used the kits flathead so i had the second engine option left a chrysler 440 v8 , ford dryfitting in the kit form but i will change some stuff later also you can see the cleaned firewall , the rest on the wing where the molded battery is will be cleaned next and i want a cleaned enginebay with the engine as a centerpiece het the famous flying belt and alternator (not on) whow how ..... need to change that off course and build a nice bracket after a few hours of removing material and dryfitting and getting the body a tad lower on the chassis just by making everything fit well .. this became the ride hight .. so this is the first time everything is together , chassis (on the wheels) with body and interiour on / in .. ride hight to me is perfect suspension still is 100% in tact , everything runs free and the wheels still steer .. the nose job hood sanded .. on the inside i put spacers to get the hood flush with the wings next up the interiour shell , that is sticking a bit above the window openings .. i will ater that the seem where the interiour shell in sitting will be cleaned after fitment , my idea is to mask and bondo the seem and then hand paint over it
  16. awsome to see this stock , i am building this exact kit atm but then customizing it ... , yours looks great love all the bmf work
  17. thnx , just cut the front window glass , the smal side windows needed to be cut of because i removed the pillars at the side windows .. i was praying it didnt crack , but luckely the glasswork was real thick and stirdy also started work on the engine compartment and smoothened the firewall all those ugly molded lines and parts are gone now ..
  18. nice !! that looks awsome !
