  1. some bondo and started work on the roof
  2. closed up the engine compartment with thicker round plates also plastic welded the speedholes ..... the side panels , i had to get the hairpins loose from the chassis , these will sit firther back and i will make new ones or alter these added tiny mesh on the brake air scoops , sadly some glue sits in the tiny holes .. but in the end i think after paint and some weathering i can make it look like piled up filth after racing ?
  3. whow awsome !!!!!!!!!!!
  4. ooh whow
  5. thnx and nice axle .. will be watching for the build thread
  6. whow !!!! awsome projects !!
  7. thnx and thnx for the coffe filter idea !! i will take a loo at those
  8. well decided to start with a rough roof set up .. as low as i could
  9. well there was not really paint on the body but aluminium zinc spray , actually a metal like coat .. because i wanted it stripped to bare styrene and didnt have anything to put the body in ... and also think the zincspray would not come of that easy .. eevn thinner only got like a micrometer layer of and nothing else happened .... i smoothened the body ...... that idea was playing in my mind but i did not have the nerve for it , afraid i would ruin the lines ... but then when filing and sanding the zinkspray of .. i thought it would be easy now to clean the bodylines and flatten the styrene completly .. so i did it .. and after that sanded it and with a file made all the corners and lines rounder ... in the end i think it fits the racer theme , like streamline ... and fits with the new nose .. now dont get me wrong i like the ford body better with all those raised lines .. but sometimes going outside the box and trying new stuff is cool too now i am in doubt if i will fill the speedholes again and close them up
  10. thnx arno !! btw how is your roadster ?

  12. uuuhhmm talking about realistic ...pffffftt thats just stunning !!!!!!! whow
  13. that looks great !
  14. bryan > lol at the x to s comment haha sure you can find ladders .. but making them isnt that hard and more fun maybe ? at least thats my idea .. but those plastruct ladders do look great ..
  15. thnx and yes i know in the end i think it was not as hard as i thought .. fun to make .. and now i think next time i will be able to do this much faster .. and the next version will be better ... like i said before i'm at the point where i want to take more time for stuff like this
  16. i never been a fan of spider web stuff on rods .. but you the work and the way you made it > awsome
  17. yes it is .. a 32 ford modelcar inside a model dio lol .. a guy from a dutch modelforum milled that especially for me .. i actually painted it red , wheels black and painted rims and windows on it .. its about fingernail size hahaha
  18. thnx ira !!! really rough still on the pictures but still pretty proud , made of all junk my first scratchbuild steerable ...... the real challenge was to get everything in .. like the nose is pretty big and takes in a lot of space , so putting a steering arm in .. and not get in the way of the engine that has to go in .. i just took a small piece of the bottom side of the nose and i had the space i wanted .. i will round of the edges later and get a boit more shape where i cut the notch for the axle burned the tips to keep the steering arm in place , that needs some cleaning up , some filing and sanding now the front axle is against the chassis i had to do that to be able to set up the whole body and chassis and ride hight and to get the body and chassis in a state where i can slide them together , now i will make like a leaf spring i think and make it so when the body and chassis are together it looks like there is suspension .. sometimes you have to cut a small corner when mocking up ... to much cutting in the nose would have ruined it
  19. whouw that dash is whooowwww
  20. i made this out of wood , simple and efefctive .. for a ladder on a bus it only needs to be longer and more narrow ... if you want the ladder to resemble a wooden ladder i would def. use real wood .. for a steel or aluminum ladder i would use styrene same > only painted and weathered
  21. nom nom nom thats tasty , love the color and wheels ... looks awsome !
