hold a wheel in front , looks great and imidiatly makes it look like a car best pic i could get right now but thats a real bonneville decal well eventhough i never was fond of flames i'm glad i did it on this one , makes it more alive , plain black would have been to boring on this model desided to start the bottom weathering with a slight haze of white powder like the salt is dry and its more like dry haze .. later when everything is put together i can create salt specs .. i dotn want to overdo it since the body is soo shiney .. i just want it clean / shiney bit looking like its been on the salt

axle will fit if you file a slot into the bottom that slides over the grille , just like i did on my bonneville ford i'm doing , i had the same issue

thnx kerry ! i made the sidewalls of the tyres a bit less white and looked how they looked on the chassis then painted some chrome on the axle , brakes , hairpin and some small parts then went trough my decal collection , didnt have the patience to waight and buy decal paper .. found some green flames with white .. i never been a flame guy , like i'm not crazy on flames .. but i could see the green ones on the black would spice it up and give the body some detail.. cut them up to match the body added some numbers ... even found a bonneville decal and put it on the back (to small for the picture) and sprayed it all gloss clear .... and well >>> hard to get the flames on picture they turn white but its green with a bit of white maybe in the evening i canmake better pics of the flames

sprayed the chassis black .. when this is dry i can go in with chrome and do the axle , brakes , struts chrome and then add some salt to the undercarridge the white pigment poweder on the tyres .. is doesnt rub off it is like hardened or ...? so thats good news !!

cool ! i have that same kit , got it from a guy without the ecto stuff , so just body drivetrain and stuff .. its sitting in a box waighting to get turned into something crazy and custom so very curious on this build

haha thnx kerry well i looked at some tyre weathering from the salt flats .... mild ... bit more where the sidewalls also are kind of white body very weathered but the tyres a bit less after looking at more my conclusion was i just want a milder weathering , also on the body i will only do a mild spray where it came of the wheels , dont want a all weathered car with the gloss paint i believe the state of teh salt also plays part in the stickyness and ?? like when its more wet / moist it will stick more to a car ?? now this is my base weathering with the white pigment .. a note i can make like the salt specs on the tyre thread but i want to do that when they are finally fixed to the car because then i dont have to hold the tyres anymore

well i'm glad it fell down and i had to start over lol just painted it black and man this looks so much better on the car it will dry up semi matt because it was just painted on the pics , but i used this paint before and when i'm done with details and decals i will spray it with high gloss clear coat and it will shine as much as on these pictures closed the nose like you see on a lot of cars , no grille just streamline nice deep panellines used new hairpins on the front axle these will sit on the body instead of the short ones wich where on the hood .. when painted chrome they will give a great contrast on the black body also have a parachute for the trunk , just dont know what color to paint tthat , maybe matt black on the gloss paint ?
