Pro Touring 70 1/2 Camaro *First post here*

thats very very impressive and cool , just love it ... one thing crossed my mind , the hoodscoop > i think the shape of the front fits great but the top is so flat , as where everything else has a slight surve in the bodywork .. if you would have a old spare hood from any car you might be able to use the top surface and put that on the flat top plate of the scoop so its a bit rounded at the top i think that would look cool .... the rest ...cant fault anything jsut amazing great work , the coils alone where like whow -
whow those colors work so great , awsome stuff also love the engine bay idea's , cool to watch !!

thats so unique and cool looking , i imidiatly got an idea when reading about the headlights .. they now look a bit like they look up into the sky .. the 40's ford headlights where so much better it would be awsome if you could make some small dropshape buldges where the headlights are now (use the cars shape as reference) and make the headlight fit against those only have to be a small piece witch can then becomes the bodycolor and have the 40's ford lights against that with a chrome bevel would also really incorporate them into the design of the car i would even suggest putting them further to the outside to accentuate the width of the car awsome build -

thnx guys , well it mifght as well stay here indeed so when i start redoing it (maybe next week) i can use this thread @ MCM Ohana in a way you are right but it sat for a while now and then you just see stuff like ..hmmmm , take the engine i bend some copper and stuck some sort of aircleaner looking thing on it , not really realistic .. the 32 pic up was my firts ever thats almost rebuild , then i did the coupe already rebuild and this was like my 4th build (the bugatti was 3th) i just found that i'd rather have some rougher rods , used / lived then like this perfect and smooth now i wont ruin this one and completely rat it out but i do have some cool idea's .. i feel my skills have grown and i wanted to tackle the earlyer builds , rebuiuld them and then start a fresh new kit i have a nother ford pick up kit to start > and a unique idea , a kit from a opel blitz (german) wich i want to hotrod (chop and lower it) and turn into a hotrod transporter . -
thnx guys its like finedust i dont know if you call it the same but its sawdust from mdf wood (the smooth pressen stuff) , waight i googled it and its just short for Medium Density Fiberboard so i'm sure you know what i mean i used it as base for my diorama and i saw the dust lying there and saved it in a container because its superfine stuf and i thought i can use that as dust or as stuff they trow on oilspils in garages . when i was doing this ford i saw the jar with dust and got the idea to use it as texture , it actually is perfect scale wise.. first i tried wood glue and dust over it and then acrylic paint with the brush .. but soon i tried just a layer of acrylic paint (waterbased) and just trow some sawdust on it , then paint over it right away .. then after drying some darker stuff and its like you get depth .. i could have made tiny holes even like its rusted through .. but now it does not come of even when i wrub it with my finger , ist just enclosed in the paint @ MCM Ohana , thnx , still learning new stuff , due to the diorama and the fact i tried a lot of stuff there i got the idea to turn my rods into weathered models .. tbh i think its so much more fun and you can get much more realism with weathering , its like i found my calling lol after looking here and posting some of my stuff i made carbs on the engine today and gave them the same weathering as the rest of the engine mounted the windowframe and dash , the dash got a orange lightbulb in the middle , a small speedo en 2 pinstripes

really stunning and realistic , really enjoyed this thread !!

then painted the fire extinguisher , small grease barrells , toolbox then painted the first floor set up (more will follow later) thats where i'm at right now , atm i'm rebuilding some earlyer build hotrods , after that i will continue the dio.. with the ammount of detail i have planned i have a lot of work still on this dio i have only build half of the garae tool kit , still have engine hoist , jacks , all the wrenched en more , i want real lighting in the dio , better walls (maybe brick) powerlines and just all the details you can think of , so where i'm at now i see as maybe half way / the base
-
on the right you see a tool cabinet from the kit and on the left is something that supposed to be a ac system hmm why not make a whole new work bench and use real wood added a vice then desided to change the attic and i will have to build new stairs , maybe a small office on the left then started painting the bridge boring desk and chair same idea as the work bench
-
found some foam plates ans added some wall struts (all still rough stuff) desided to use a window (bought that in a shop and is from modeltrains in the g scale) and make a rolling garage door (static not really movable) banana for a scale / size idea the primered door then weathered the door drasticly
-
started a wooden attic also got some cool lighting effects with the windows attic set up weathered the windows with peeled of paint effects and made asome stairs then got a fujimi garage kit for free from a guy and started to build part of it already primered the lot and added railings painted the engine mouth and put a engine on it
-
hi started this dio this summer , made loads of pictures , i will try to narrow it down to the main ..... the dio changed in syle a few times along the build , i always build stuff on the fly , no set idea's so.... started with a base from wood then made some fujimi mechanics painted them then scratchbuild a big colom drill and made a grind / polish bench

crazyrichard replied to crazyrichard's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
thnx i'm actually planning to make this one a bit rougher also and redo it , make the cab and bed like worn paint effect en adding betetr detailed stuff on the engine top also new wheels and a more vintage look and feel .. -
then weathered the engine the seat / bench i made cracks in that like the leather had dry cracks and washed it with acrylic paint also desided to use these wheels to compensate for the rust a bit aged the wood in the bed did the rear wheels and started the dash and window frame (just first set up) this is where i'm at right now , now i need to make some cool details , add stacks and carbs on the engine and some more nice detailing maybe thnx , just posted the past pics to where i'm at atm

this one was actually my first ever plastic modelkit and like my coupe i desided to redo this one after a while . started like this back then > and it ended up like this 2 weeks ago i decided to redo a ford coupe to use in my garage dio project and after completing that one i desided last week i wanted to redo the pick up also.. sure i could have kept it as my forst plastic build kit ever but i'm not that sentimental so i started to break it apart getting some idea's flowing and i desided not to make a whole new frame but use the existing one cut of the fenders that where one piece with the frame reason most is hidden , its a fairly quick rebuild and it will be rusted . also i wanted a sort if flimsy looking frame .. actually used parts of a incomplete vw beetle kit for this drykitting and getting the idea's flowing
