  1. i could not part with the charger gasser build , but it was finished .. looking at my old charger i got the creeps ..... i build that a while back , less skills and when i still cut corners ... most of my rods (fords and all) already got some updates but that charger .. looks cool sitting on its wheels in the display cabinet .. but man it had issues ... the underside ... i build it and when assembled came up with the idea to slam it .. seemed cool at the time but that gave issues i cut the oil pan and even the gearbox after assembly to put it that low and then put the wheel in in a way hmm could have been better .. never build airbags or lines ... also the wheels are quit large but the tyres are not wide at all .. skinny even .. so see from the bottom it looked horrible ... now a charger on air .. nah stupid i want to change it and with keeping the paint build it touhger ... racy ... not perfect and not ratty a bit inbetween general mayhem and a showstopper ... this was the result just after completing the build back then .. fon its tyres not real bad looking now all pics are lousy the clear on this is one that shows every toutch and every toutch leaves fingerprints , so now redoing it i have to hold it so pics how a fingerprinted and hazy paint ripped off the exhaust maybe i will make sidepipe or cutouts ... the oilpan and gearbox carnage lol > closed the oilpan and grearbox with styrene , kept the pan thin so i can still go low in the front (not real low) and add stuff and have it looking drivable , painted it all red again , oil filter white , drieshaft in metal coat and redid the black on the chassis , all by hand while it was together the fingerprinted body the engine didnt look horrible , maeb some toutch and add ons ups later choosen tyres , wide fat tyres , both in the front and back , bot of diameter difference .. just anice racy look , will sit way higher then it was .. a charger doesnt deserve to be slammes like i did before .. so now i need to redeam myself so far tats what i did ... to be continued ...:)

  5. very cool idea's !! styling looks great and that hood is awsome !! one thing would have completed it , if you would have shaved the moldings on the front window and made the glass so it looked like modern glass , glued ...

  8. nice ! , love the small details on the wiring / piping / brakelines !! like the gulf theme with lace .. wonder how it would have looked with lace in the blue as well
  9. paint is tamiya ts-92 orange metallic with tmiya ts-13 clear in the sun it really pops with reference you also see reflection oh and the total weight of the model is amazing its pretty heavy , i have build the same charger kit before not as detailed as this one and not as much scratch building and i think the gasser charger weighs twice what the other charger weighs lol
  10. garage diorama shoot just outside engine with waterhoses connedted and underside
  11. sorry for the large amount of pics .. i could not choose 2 JUST ON THE TABLE INSIDE with the front opened , its a two way hinge gasstation diorama shoot
  12. hi all after abouth 4 months building almost every day , i finished my dodge charger gasser build . here is the build thread for those who want to see some build pics (almost every step is in there) .. bit of info on how this build started : i got a glue bomb kit from my sister in law the revell 1968 charger r/t , that my ex brother in law glued and slapped together with no paint and too much glue ... it was just saveable ....glass was ruined , moldings all needed to be shaved and rebuild (build those out of brass) .. it pretty much has everything , fuellines , brakelines , fuelpump , powerboostalve , all cables and details ... first some interiour pictures taken when i was building ... all scratch build , real cloth on seats , center console , top of the dash ... a mix of chrome and black , made a cage and a hurst shifter used a motorcycle kit helmet and made a real visor on that added seat belts , also self made rolling chassis with interiour and the 80% scratched hemi radiator made out of copper plate scratchbuild steel headers so far for some major general details ... NEXT POST WILL BE PICS OF THE CHARGER
  13. whow .. last pics in this thread .. its 99,99% done .. added the final details i only had one doorhandle ...bummer because i really wanted the doorhandles on .. i will have to search all my partsboxes maybe i can find set last details really brought it to life and added realism , real happy with the result ! added the chrome r/t badges on the rear quarters ... put the mirror on added a small revell decal on the rear window coolwaterhoses ... will post better pics in under glass with them all connected and made a new latch / lock to hold the flip front , perfect its so tight against the body .. both sides now sit level ... ppppffffjjoouuuuiiiii glad i got that sorted
  14. yes sorry .. i thought it was a state , my knowedge on that is lacking and thnx !
  15. thnx guys !! today i took a chrome license plate holder , gave it black edges and put on a alberta state gasser plate on it .. glad i had that .. fits this build perfect ! well and the first wheely is a fact
  16. just added the wipers , the kit wipers never fit nice they sit on the closed circles , i know this from a previous charger build .. i knw the wiper arms actually hit the trim .. now i redid all the trim and made it out of brass and thats a tad thicker as the kit trim .. so i drilled holes before paint for wiper shafts (is that how yo call them ??) no i altered the wipers , cut a piece of the arm and made a hollow shape in the ends alowing me to glue in a steel pin with round head , then make it one and paint it satin black . so now the wipers really have shafts going in and through the hole .. a few raandom pics with my logo most pics show the paint either metalic (with sun) or real flat in normal light , you really ave to put something beside it to show its got reflection (on pictures)
  17. cool and very clean !
