  1. Wow! A Ventura II Sprint. One of my "Holy Grail" kits. Scott
  2. Looks cool, man. I can dig it. Scott
  3. Great looking model Bruno. Scott
  4. Interesting. And well done. Scott
  5. Just noticed. It looks like body is already painted in this kit. Is that true? And if so, in how good of a job? And is it possible to see more photos of this kit? Scott
  6. I'm thinking about getting to work on my Minnesota State Patrol collection. I have the kits. I've got proper decals made. Getting the correct paint is the only thing standing in my way. I have the Ditzler color code to get the paint put into spray cans. I just need to do it. Scott
  7. Congratulations. Scott
  8. Oh, an "LS" Chevy motor. That I understand. "Is" I didn't. Scott
  9. I love the Packard gasser. Very Kool! Scott
  10. Looks great. Love the color. One of those colors that works well only on certain cars. But, when it does. Wow! Scott
  11. Ole was a great fighter pilot back in the "Big" War. One day he was asked to go to a school and tell a bunch of sixth graders about his exploits as a flyer back in the war. He start by telling the kids about the time where he was in kind of a tight spot. How he was surrounded by the enemy fighters. He said, "I had one Fokker behind me. Another Fokker to the right. A third Fokker to the left. And two more Fokkers. One above and one below. I thought I was goner." At this point the teacher stopped him. She was noticing the confussed look on her students faces. She said to Ole, "I think you need to explain to the kids what a Fokker is." Ole says, "Oh! Well the first ting you need to know, is these Fokkers were flying Messerschmidts." Scott
  12. Why do lions not like playing cards in the jungle? Because we're are too many cheetahs Scott
  13. I suspect because of weight and size they were probably not very popular as real gassers. Doesn't mean it can't be done. As noted by Bill's photo above. Scott
  14. Okay, what is a "Is series engine"? Scott
  15. This is not the first time I've seen pictures of this car. But it's the first time I've seen good clear pictures of it restored back to its glory. I kind of like the car. It looks like something Batman would have driven in the early 60's. And I too would love to see somebody do a model of it. I'm afraid it's beyond my skills. I do plan on making my Monogram Predicta and MPC Fireball 500 into pseudo Batmobiles. But only by painting them black and adding red Bat logos to the doors. Scott
  16. The cartoon Jonny Quest. Scott
  17. We're missing the important point here. How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? In other words, I can't believe this has gone on for nine pages. And what is point? Scott
  18. Other than the wing, how much different is this kit to the Fiat in the Double Dragster kit using a Part Pack "T" body? Scott
  19. There are two Aurora Customized Corvette kits are available on eBay right now. Looking at the one that is open, it is based on their old 1/32 scale '61 or '62 Corvette kit. I'm pretty sure it's a '61. I remember building one of those back in the summer of '72. I was spending a few weeks with relatives in Cloquet and Duluth, MN that summer. And I found the Aurora 1/32 scale '61 ('62?) Corvette at Carr's Hobbies in Duluth. I can't remember if the kit was any good or not. That summer my cousin in Cloquet and I bought several cool models, at a local department store in downtown Cloquet. I remember buying AMT's Open Road Chevy camper and a Dodge Deora. My cousin Mark bought a JoHan Cadillac ambulance and a JoHan '72 Eldorado. A week or so later, I bought the Corvette at Carr's. By the way, Carr's is still in business in Duluth. And worth a stop if you ever get there. I still get in there at least once a year. Scott
  20. Maybe we can get a group rate and go as a bunch. Scott
  21. Back to the Aurora kit, is the guy kneeling behind the Corvette on box, smiling in such away like he can't believe they gave him that trophy for his ugly car? Trying to hind his face? I also get the impression the crowd in the background are laughing at it. The one guy is pointing, "can you believe that won?" The guy in the blue shirt and white hat, talking to the other guy, is bringing his finger up towards his ear to make that crazy, nuts gesture. Scott
  22. An old local kids show, Axel and His Dog. Scott
  23. Wow! That Aurora Corvette kit is both ugly and interesting at the same time. I never knew it existed before this. I'd love to see one built. Scott
  24. Nissan Sunny truck above looks interesting. A Japanesse El Camino, Ranchero, Ute? Cool. Scott
