  1. Very nice birds. Something about helicopters from that time period that look right to me. Scott
  2. Another nice one Lee. Even though I like the Enterprise from the Abram's movies, the original is still the best. Scott
  3. Very nice! I still love the looks of the original Enterprise. And you did a great job on this one. I especially like the first picture by way. Leaving Mars. Very cool! Scott
  4. I love Whirlybirds. Watched it as a kid. And I too in the last year picked up a DVD with several episodes. It still holds up. I wasn't disappointed. And as far as your model goes Lee, very nice job. Scott
  5. Here's another one. Again very cool! I don't know why I like these so much. Can't wait to get mine done. Scott
  6. Wow! Looks great Sven. Your box art design will be another good reason to buy this kit. Scott
  7. I wonder why John is looking at reviews on Camaros if he's not planning on buying one? Just writing to vent your dislike of Chevys John? Kind of a jerky thing to do. I wonder what cars you like that I don't (though I tend to like most everything), so I can go on those reviews and tell you something similar. It's fine that you have no interest in Camaros. Not everybody likes the same thing. Scott
  8. Are you saying this is good or bad Mike? Scott
  9. Very nice Lamborghini. Great job on the paint. I like it! Scott
  10. Question? How does Spaz-Stix compare to Alclad? I've never heard of Spaz-Stix before. Scott
  11. Back to my Revell/Mongram chrome problem. Has anybody else encountered this problem in the past? And what can one do about it? Scott
  12. Interesting to note, going back to that Econoline web site and relooking at the kits posted there. The box art for the Ironsides kit shows the early style grille. Where the kit itself and it's contents, it has the redesigned grille. Does anybody remember which would be correct for the real Ironside van? Also looking at the box art on the 1971 Econoline kit, it looks like the new grille appeared on that year's truck. Which sounds right to me. Scott
  13. Great link Lee. But, I got the impression from your above statement in post #11781, that your thoughts are that the original version of this kit was the Ironsides one? The 1970 Econoline was the first version of the kit. The Ironsides version came later and has the redesigned later in that generation grille. I may have misunderstood you on your comment above. By the way, that is a very nice built version of that kit. Scott
  14. Harry you hit the nail right on the head why I like Jay and Jay Leno's Garage. A great guy. And great stuff. A great show. And not pretentious in any way. Scott
  15. I still think we need to talk about sleeve valve engines just to throw people for a loop. Even though Ford never offered one as far as I know. Scott
  16. See my posting #22 and the ones right before it. I hope my idea of why they pulled it is right. Scott
  17. It has only happened with Revell/Monogram kits from about 15 or so years ago. I've had no problems with their more recent kits. Or the same problem with kits by other manufactures. It's only been on Revell/Monogram kits from a certain period. Scott
  18. Ah... Leno is still one of the best. And the '67 through '72 generation of Chevrolet trucks is still my favorite. And I love the way Holly modified this truck. It has all the right modern goodies, yet still looks like the proper '67 Chevy I always loved the looks of. I especially like how stock looking they kept the interior. And I love the plain simple white grille. The factory mirrors, both inside and out. The color. The clean simple graphics on the door. Chrome bumpers. And no step bumper in back. I would have preferred body color wheels with dog dishes. I love the modern engine. The set up of the bed. And the Vintage Air set up. All around a very, very nice truck. I'd love a '67 Suburban with stock buckets, built basically the same way. Scott
  19. Monogram's '59 Cadillac. I'm worried about the chrome in this kit. A few years after I build my first one, the chrome started fading away. Showing the black colored plastic underneath. I've had this problem with a couple of Revell/Monogram kits from that time period. I've seen it happen to my first Revell '67 Corvette convertible build. And my '70 Buick GSX. This has made me leery of building some older Revell/Monograms I have laying around. Nice kits, but what's with the chrome? And is there anything I can do to prevent it from happening a second time? Scott
  20. As noted the HighJacker van was on Round 2s web site, then taken down. And the HighJacker was/is based on the early 70's 1/20th scale Ford van. Got mixed feelings about this kit being taken down on Round 2s web site. Never liked the HighJacker version of this kit. Would rather have a version like Jesse scored recently. I'm hoping the HighJacker has been taken away so the tooling can be backdated to a more desirable version of the van. Scott
  21. Great source for info. In fact I've bookmarked for future reference. Thanks. After looking at a variety on things on the site, it looks like anything goes back in the day. Scott
  22. Small rub on transfer letters, you can buy at craft stores? Scott
