Class of 2014
kilrathy10 replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
These are some great builds, Man.....You know I really like that Ford F-350 with the utility box on the back.....Sports a really nice paint job.... And that green Pathfinder is weathered to perfection.....Beautiful.... -
This is a good one, Man....You should post it and any other builds you did in the 2014 builds thread by Petetrucker07.....It may be a little redundant, but many of us have done so......

Yeah, that Autocar is an awesome build.....I've opened up ONE door, lifetime.....Not sure if I'll ever do it again, but using Italeri's multipiece cab, it wasn't too bad.....I did it on a Freightliner FLD..... And thanks, Tom....Those are much better shots....That orange is just too cool....Gotta get a couple of those trailers, like I said, before......Sweet build, Man....

Just seems odd that no one has decided to pick this ball up and run with it.....They'd have scored a touchdown in my book, for sure..... -
Well, if you can find the AMT doubles trailers or the US Mail truck, there are some in those.....

Hey.....There you go, Clayton.....That's what I'm saying.....I really like this hobby, but I can't let it put me in the poor house.....It has made a little money, here and there, and I made sure my wife knew about it..... So, if I can bring in a $100 for something every now and then, she'll tolerate my indulgences.....Even if it was selling a kit that I paid $90 for and with shipping I lost money.....That part I keep to myself..... lol..... But....She ain't gotta know that.....
-
Excellent work, Bud.....Very nice and clean build......Not sure why I never got one of these.....Great job....

Man, the decal work really sets those things off.....Great job.....You're getting pretty good at those toter homes, Man.... -
Man, I do like the transkit idea......I know the aftermarket does a lot of these, but when you're on a budget, $150 resin kit ain't gonna cut it with the wife.....More often than not, even at the high prices the big boys sell complete models, they're still cheaper than resins......So, I'm all over it......Nothing against you guys that do them, because I'm sure it is a lot of work, and your efforts should be rewarded, but styrene is just easier to mess with than that stuff.... It's funny....I've been building kits for years and only since I found "y'all" did I figure out what kits were "off" and what were "on" and what were "in between".....Rocked my world.....

It looks great, Man.....That fifth wheel setup is gonna work pretty good......You may have to add some angle to the bottom of the chassis to the lower portion of it for further strength, but It ought to hold....Or just cheat and add some legs under the trailer where they can't be seen....No need to worry about weather it will support the weight, then..... All your engineering efforts have paid off on this one, Man....Beautiful.... -
Man, it could be an outer space based company, if you want it to.....Remember....It's YOUR project...... To be honest, those Italeri/Revell kits are quite good.....Most of the time they're very well appointed......They do use the old reissue tricks and such, but that's sometimes an advantage......Have fun...... And, I'm on a budget, as well....I just have to make sure I really want it, before I buy it....And you can always trade for stuff.....Some of us build cars, too.....As well as other stuff.....I might have something you'd be interested in....Just PM me.....Or post something in the trading section..... Good luck with this one......It's looking mighty fine....

I'm waiting on that low loader, for sure....Not that interested in another reissued lowboy from AMT.....It's okay as a base for extending, but not very modern...... Sign: Mobeius PLEASE HELP !!!!

Yep....As long as you like it, it ain't gonna matter what we think.....One thing for sure, the last thing we would do is try to tear you down either way.....I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.....Don't try to reach the sky on your first attempt, either.....I, like others, like to build at least one box stock to see what problems I might face and take that experience to the next build.....But if you are comfortable with trying something, then by all means go for it...... Can't Wait....
