Utility 3000R Reefer
kilrathy10 replied to KJ790's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Yeah, them T 660's 80's are awesome looking..... -
Well, I do know that is the newest Actros....I don't Italeri has released their version of it, yet....I can only assume they will face lift previous issues, but it would have to be heavily modified to look as good as this one.....I like Euro rigs....They squeeze so much into so little space....I probably have 20 or so of them on the shelf, sealed, still.....

You are ambitious, I'll say that.....I'd love to see a Cascadia, for sure....The Prostar and the Cascadia seem to be the more common fleet rigs out, these days, down here..... -

Excellent work on this quaint little truck....Great weathering.....Very nice.... -
Dude....I found a couple of those excavators across town at a truck stop.....And they had one with a battle tank, too....I also found them on Amazon.....Cost a little more than Love's, but they deliver.....Just look up NewRay toys.....You have to buy them with the rig and trailer, but that suits me just fine....I use the wheels and tires for race trailers and low boys..... And yeah....One thread is an excellent idea....As soon as something new comes up, I can view it.....Awesome.... Great work, Dennis.....I think this is your first full year of posting, right??? And not much more experience in modeling..... Great job on that NewRay....As I stated, I've found a couple and have already commenced to modifying one to suit my taste for orange......I'm thinking CASE brand..... And nice work, Dave, on that Mack.....Some of us just seem to have all the time in the world, but don't feel bad....

OOOOOO OOO WE !!!!!!!!! Man, that's a nice looking truck.......I highly doubt you'll have any trouble fitting in around here !!!!! Just a gorgeous job on this kit.....That engine looks good under there and great idea on the air ride.....Beautiful.....And what gets me.....You even got the cab to sit level with the shift tower mounted.....I've built 2 of these and I just left that thing off.....WOW !!!!! Welcome aboard.......James..... And don't worry so much about the aftermarket parts....I've had to make stuff for years, and a lot of times, it's better than waiting for parts to come in the mail.....There's some great aftermarket stuff, but there's a lot that you can do on your own.....Nothing wrong with kitbashing, either.... And what do you mean if you get some good feedback???? LOL !!! I can only hope you'll give us mere peasants some..... -

I'll have to give a great big motivatin' OOORAH !!!!! to you, Man.....Welcome aboard.....Can't wait to see what you do with those big ideas you have.....Something I'd like to do, myself.....If I only had the room.....Too many grown kids living here..... God bless you, Man..... Always good to know the vets on here....As you may have guessed, I'm an old Marine......Well.....A 46 year old Marine, anyway.....

Man, those are some cool shots.....Amazing what they would do to prove their designs......I'm guessing that was a roll over test and the jump a chassis strength test.....Don't think anyone would try to jump a Freightliner Coronado or Cascadia or something, today...... Don't know if they'd been cleaned up or not, but those are some GREAT quality photographs, considering the technology of the time..... -
Yeah....I'm with you there.....I JUST ordered some square rod for a car hauler I'm about to get onto.....I didn't know I could get the stuff from plastic-models.....That free shipping they're having is awesome.....I'm loading up on all kinds of stuff....And I felt the same way when I discovered this place downtown that sells 4' x 8' .060 plastic sheets for just over $20 each......I about went CRAZY......I've been a scratch building fool, ever since.....Couldn't believe I could get that much plastic for that.....
-
Looks like you've been busy, Man.....Great work....Your craftsmanship abounds in all these builds.....And quite a few, I might add.....From one model to the next.....Outstanding.....

That Stang is amazing.....Awesome job.....What scale is it???
-
Those are some very remarkable builds, Sir.....I'm blown away....

I do like that KW, there P. Gill....Looks awesome....Great shot of it..... And Pavel....Man, I can't even begin to describe how good those rigs look....You got some amazing skills, Man.....That's some of the best weathering and assembly I've ever seen.....The detail is astounding..... Hope I didn't miss anybody..... Like others have said, there ain't nothing here I wouldn't like to see on MY shelf, either.....
