Peterbilt 359 Conventional "49ers Big Rig"
kilrathy10 replied to TheCat's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
That's a pretty cool looking build....The gold painted chrome is what stands out the most....And the decals are wonderful.....That is very well done....Very well done.....Good job on this kit... I hope you continue to build big rigs.....I know I was hooked after my first "Italeri" kit...... Keep in mind, though....This Pete 359 is an entry level kit.....They are, for the most part, much more challenging......Don't want to scare you.....Just giving you a "heads up".... This is one of the better builds I've seen of this model, so you're on the right track..... -
I posted this in the wrong section, somehow...Please move this to Under Glass, if you could ever so kindly....Thank you in advance.... Well, Boys.....I decided to call this one done for now.....Signature orange, of course.....I need some decals and lines for it....I'm thinking some Schneider International, but I've got a lot of projects I want to get to over the winter....I'm gonna come back to this one....BUT....I did decide on the trailer for this one, though.....It started as an AMT Fruehauf Van, but I lengthened it, and added some side skirts..... So without further ado.....Here we go.....

Nice save, Man....This would have been the end of it for me in the past, but I've developed a few ways to deal with these kind of mishaps, myself....Your solution was, shall I say, "Outstanding".....Great job..... -

The paint is still drying on this thing....I hope to get to the tarp thingy, today, and get some outside pics with a load of gravel..... -
Not sure what happened to the thread I posted last night, but here goes it, again...... I needed a trailer for my rehashed FLD and I thought of Dave's (Swampdog)'s setup....I had wanted to do a dumper, anyway, since my X-girlfriend destroyed my other one.....So I went to work....I was able to salvage the dump body and the frame from that event, so naturally, I didn't want it to go to waste.....Combining the two was obvious.....Here's what I did over the weekend.....

Great job on the doors, Man....I might just have to borrow that idea....I just finished cutting a race trailer a little bit ago, and it's time to clean off the bench and get on it....
