This is one really cool looking model....I don't know why I never bought one of these models....Great decals....They really make it look cool....I think I prefer it with the rack on top, too, but I wouldn't have glued the canoe on, either.....Great job..... And that's a really cool 1:1 Scout you have, there, Daniel....80k all original.....Awesome..... -

Looks pretty cool....Great model of one of those "Great idea, Poor execution" offerings.....This thing would have a greater tendency of tipping over than a Suzuki Samarai.....Great job on the model, though....Looks fantastic.... -

I didn't know you were only 15, Man.....That's a breath of fresh air....I have a 21 year old son that's a natural at this, but he lives in Iowa and has a lot on his plate....I hope he stays interested.....I'm glad you've found an interest in this hobby.....That's just great.... -
Well, Dave, I'm sure somebody can answer that in detail, but my knowledge is limited on the subject.....However, I do know that droms can be pretty much any size you want.....Whether the truck is a cabover or a conventional, you can put a drom on the back of it....I've seen some pretty impressive race rigs that, seemingly, defy all practicality.....Just depends on how much money you have, I guess.....As for the doors, they seem to be, mostly on the passenger side of the truck, but they can be on both......... I made mine out of an old AMT van trailer I had laying around.... Maybe someone else here can chime in on this subject....

Yeah, this is a good job on this one.....Oddly, I haven't seen many of these built box stock like this one.....It really looks good that way......Kind of weird to say that, but I may have seen only one more done up this way.....Great job.... -

This is a cool discussion...."Builder's Block" gets me every once and a while, too.....I'm on a build, now, and am in the middle of trying to figure out what load to put on the back of my trailer and what amount of detail I want to add to the truck.....Oh, what to do?? What to do?? -

I know I'm diggin' this one.....Luvin' the orange, too.....Very nice work.....MAN, this is good !!! Totally like what you did with the sleeper, and that trash bag is done very well.....I might just have to try that.....Being on a budget, that's right up my alley..... -

"Cool" is the word, Baby.....I'm with you, there.....Can't say I really care if it would be "practical" in the real world.....I've owned many a Hot Wheel that has never been built for real.... And you, definitely, don't have to worry about front axle lift..... -

Yeah, that is a pretty good score, Pavel.....I'm still kicking myself for not purchasing more than 2 of the KW Aerodyne reissues.....They're going for quite a bit, these days, you know.....Even though it's got the Tyrone Malone stretch..... -
rig building, what's the worst part for you?
kilrathy10 replied to tbill's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That IS a good one, there, Mark.....Forgot about that frustrating aspect of building....I, too, find that to be one of the hardest things to "nail".... Another good one, as well, Dave....Don't know how many I've broken..... But like you said, Mark, my "skills" have gotten much better over the years.....I've gotten pretty good a fixing them......That, and it doesn't bother me as much if I just glue the wheels on, any more....When you're 12 or 13, the wheels being able to turn really matters....But after you come home and find your Payhauler on the floor in several pieces because it fell off the shelf; you kinda have a different perspective on that one wheel that doesn't roll...... Suddenly, it's your best friend.... -

Hmmm.....Man....If it wasn't you, Greg, then who did I get that thing from?? That's what happens when you start getting old......I can't remember for the life of me....
