Haven't used a molded in color in years, but I'd definitely assemble the parts, first, before I did any clear coating, but Charles may have something, there.....

You know I was thinking that very thing when I started....If I don't make any major mistakes, I'm sure I'll have it finished in about a week and a half.....So far, so good..... And I was thinking that, too.....It looks like it could hold 2 sprint cars or a single cab pick up and a small car, like a Mini or something.....I will be doing some experimenting, as I haven't figured out what I'm going to haul with it, yet......

Got some paint slapped on yesterday.....A rare couple of "low humidity" days in Houston has allowed me to paint AND clear coat in just 2 days......I'm really loving this one.....You may notice, I added a center piece to the ramp bed.....There will be a box covering the simplistic winch, too....I think it will look better.....

It's time for a "real" build, Boys.....I'm going after Tyrone Malone's Papa Truck.....Except it wont' be his truck at all....It's gonna be "MY TRUCK"........Guess what color it's gonna be.... I'll give you two guesses, but you're only gonna need one..... Only just opened the box.....My first impression.....Wow !!! I cannot believe I've never, actually, built one of these......Totally gonna "SMASH" through this build, Dude......This ought to be fun!!!! Pretty sure I'm not going to need the decals, so if anybody wants them, let me know......

I'm with you on that piece of trim.....I'm sure it speaks '70's loud and clear, but I don't think it looks very stylish, either.....Great job, so far....Keep it up....

Well....You've got a decent start, but you ain't lying when you said you need some better material.....Try plastic-models.com to snag some flat sheet or whatever styrene......They've got all kinds of little tidbits as well as models......Or even sceneryproducts.com.....They've got some pretty good double diamond plate that can be had for a song......

Had one of these old snap Hummers laying around that I traded the wheels and tires off, so I grabbed some from a die cast truck and slapped them on to come up with this thing.....

I started with this..... And ended up with this......

Well....I've got another 579 completed.....This time, I added interior detail....The sleeper is pretty basic, but I really just wanted to see if it was possible.....I had no real reference material, so I improvised....Just a bed, TV, and a storage locker.....I think it turned out pretty good, but I'll let the pics speak for themselves........

Man, that is too dadgum cool.....I like this.....I think this is one of the ugliest trucks Dodge ever produced, but it was a Beast....You've done an awesome job attacking this one.....
