Michael's comment pretty well sums it up for me, too. With some of these kits being extremely rare and/or high priced, it's not the kind you want to build when you're still honing your airbrushing skills, for example. ? I have plans to build just about every kit that I buy....

Got my last order from the Modelhaus today!? Bittersweet experience; I was looking forward to receiving all of the goodies, but sad to think that there won't be any more....

I seem to recall that someone once posted photos here on the Forum of a weathered and "rusted" Corvette. It was very well done, and got a lot of comments, until someone pointed out that fiberglass doesn't *rust*? Anyway, I agree with Snake; go for it!

It's been a few days since you posted your photos. Has the model put itself back together yet? Great job on your build!

Really cool, David! However, I wish we had the original MPC '33 Chevy tooling still intact....

The "Fargo" cars are indeed fun! Of course, I was partial to last season's Corvair ?

Over the top ads in post!!

Gee, now I'm concerned... I'm getting ads for cemetary plots.... -
One of my childhood heroes, who drove the coolest car in the world! Bruce Wayne's Imperial was pretty neat, too! I also though he was hilarious in his guest role on "Big Bang Theory" in recent years. R.I.P., Mr. Anderson....

Agreed - good job! Slick photography of the subject, too!

How about a "Corvette America" by Monogram? Anyway, your Mako is another beautiful build. You're killing me, David, just sayin'...........

sure wish I could go to the Starbird museum! That's a long ride for me. I did the next best thing, though - I ordered a copy of his book "Bubble Top King" from the museum. I highly recommend it. After looking at David's replica of the Cosma Ray, I'm even more interested to see these great Starbird customs in person.

David, I've noticed you often build more than one version of these marvelous kits. Do you by chance have a second King T, maybe painted "Evening Orchid" like the original 1:1????
-
David, you're driving me absolutely NUTS with these beautiful builds! Another beautiful job, and another extremely rare one. What kit did you use as the "donor" kit for the chassis, etc? For those of you looking at this and wondering where it came from, I got one from "Star Models" (Steve Koehler) a few years ago. Don't know if it's still available.

By all means, PLEASE keep overwhelming us with your beautiful builds, David! Where have you been hiding all this time? I've got on of these Cosma Ray kits, too, but have been afraid to build it. You've inspired me to dig it out of my stash....

Somewhere in my stash of literature I have a book about limos. I was surprised to see photos of a '65 Chevy stretched for airport duty, just as Tom mentioned. Apparently it was common to stretch "everyday" cars such as Impalas or Buicks back in the 60s. Not all limos were Caddys or Lincolns. So, Cale's creation is in the norm after all. I like it!

Yup! I bet a lot of us got busted a few times by Harry. :-) And, I won't forget my outside mirrors on any of my models again ;-)
