  1. My old club Capital City Modelers held their annual contest February 10th. Juha Airio was there, as usual. He showed a 65-66 Rambler, among other things. If you click my photobucket link, the show pics will appear on page 1. There are some more...
  2. The Trumpeter kit is a stock only, looks to me it's been "back-halved" using parts from AMT's '67 Chevelle Pro Street kit. Right, 41CHEVY?
  3. Now there's a cool idea for my garage to be, at the summerhouse....maybe my mom wasn't so off in her fantasies about an art gallery in the garage...
  4. Tim, that's an awesome chassis! What more can I say? And the driver, ohh he looks almost real. A mean dude! 8)
  5. Very cool paint job! That I like, not so sure about the wheels...
  6. Well, the car had no problems turning left and right, I lost power! I had an older, but well running chassis at first, but while in Germany I decided to try this other newer chassis with brand new brass bearings. The chassis are identical. The bearings were not broken in, so I guess they almost seized up on me. I'll switch back to the old chassis...
  7. This guy, known over here as "Fatsteffe" has done all kinds of bad stuff, fraud, embezzellement and what have you. It's not one I feel at all proud to call a countryman. How is it they say; "live fast, die young and be a beautiful corpse"? He might qualify for the first two, but...
  8. Do you mean kit# T57-200? I happen to have that kit. The box is the old tall narrow with a red-ish T-bird against a white background on the box end. The top is blue-ish with a lot of T-birds all over the cover. Sound about right to you?? I might even build it, got inspired by a feature on Mark Gustavson's site, where he built an old Styline Ranchero using only old materials; putty, paint...
  9. Cool bike. I have an old biker/car friend who built a real Triumph chopper in the late seventies, and it was also called Purple Haze.... purple is his favorite color.
  10. Nice "Chebby" Brian! Do you happen to have ancestors from Sweden? Your last name would be Söderström over here. Cool to see you here too!
  11. Hi! I'm glad I found this place, since you guys are into slot racing. I fooled around with it in the sixties, never had a competetive car, or the money. I mean, like every week there was a new hot Mura motor, and I didn't have the cash, I was 14 - 15 years old. Around 2000 I got a call from my friend whom I'd been slot dragging with. He told me of this new club that was just formed. Oh cool, so I had to join. And it was a Parma Flexi car to start with, then I got a Champion chassis and hotter motors, etc, etc...A guy in the club suggested we should try NASCAR with styrene bodies...Yeah! Now you're talking 8) So I ditched the flexi junk, and started building plastic NASCAR racers. Mostly Rusty Wallace cars, but also a Tide Monte Carlo. We have gone to race in Germany for midsummer - June 20th. In 2004, my second trip to Germany, I managed to get everything right, and finished in - second place!! I could not believe it at first, but it was true. Everybody was surprised! I'll post some pics soon. Here's my latest. Unfortunately I didn't do too well in Germany last year.
  12. Hello everybody! Modellpularn has discovered this place, and it seems to be a cool place, since you have a bunch of guys that are into slot racing. This I really like!! 8) I've seen some familiar names around here. Gregg, it was cool to meet you and Jim Keeler at the Western Nat's in '99! I have some pics of you guys... I had a great time! It's always so neat to meet fellow modelers from around the world, because we all speak - Styrene  You can bet I'll be posting stuff here... 'Later, guys!
