  1. Thanks guys, taking pics of it here in a bit!!!!
  2. I built this many years ago but was never really happy with the colors and the way it looked. Plus I dropped something on the hood and chipped the paint so I started to re-do it. I had it in primer at one of our AMG meetings and Jimmy Flintstone saw it on the table and told me I need to get that to him. Well it did and after a couple months I got the master back along with a resin copy of the truck... It's a Chezoom lower with the upper cab, hood and bed from a 51 Chevy truck... So now the why am I posting old pics of this?? Well, I've been finishing up the repaint and rebuild of this. It is now metallic black, has chrome steel wheels with white walls and has a interior color change as well.. Seat is Colonial Red to give it the look of an older hot rod... After I get the mirror on it and get the tonneau cover glued together I'll get some new pics. For now you just have to look at the teaser pics!!!!! All the pics.... http://s2.photobucket.com/user/drkerry/library/Hobgoblin?sort=2&page=1
  3. I too dislike the term rat rod. To me it's either a hot rod, traditional or a rod.... I do like what you did on this though. Looks awesome!!!!
  4. As always Tyrone, great work!!!!!
  5. Looks good to me. Kind of like a steam engine my wife has that actually works....
  6. Love what ya got started here. I thought of doing one of these art deco cars using a 34 Ford as a base... I'll be watching your build. Love the frame work!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Liking where this is heading, looking good so far!!!!!!!
  11. Very kool, love the old AMC's. Have a 77 Hornet AMX hatchback myself.....
  12. Ashley, looking at the real car versus the kit, to me it looks as if the real car has an overhang in the trim area and if you sand off the kit chrome it will be flat and no reveal line there. If it were me building the car I'd take a carefully fill the upper part of the trim line to fill it in with the door to the trim. Then sand it down til you hit the trim, thus leaving a bit of an overhang to give you the reveal line as on the real car... Hope that makes sense??!!
  13. Hey Dennis, looking great so far.... Check out Rep. + Miniatures Of Maryland they have the open fish mouth air scoops if you want the better look a top a beaut of a flattie!!!! Photo is borrowed from the web... to show the air cleaners...
  14. All I can say is I'm glad to see you can't leave well enough alone..... Great work!!!!!!
  15. Thanks Rick!!!! Just keep the line out back. Sooner or later something will bite.....
  16. That is totally kool!!!!!!!!!
  17. I don't think on a real boat this is too far out of left field. There have been twin engine drag boats before in real life with smaller hulls than this. Kwicherbichen.com boat which is where I got the name only changed it a bit... Has twin engines, although not blown...
  18. You got the idea Bruce!!!!!!! LOL Yeah Tom, I don't know what two blown Arias' would weigh out at but........
  19. that is some kool stuff to be able to do that!!!!!!
  20. Paint is on order, working on wheels right now. Took the kit wheels cut out the centers and putting in a set of parts box Halibrands to have the look of an older wheel but the larger diameter of today's wheels.... I'll take some pics over the weekend and get them up!!!!!!!
  21. Too FuNnY
