Ok, on August 31st my church is having their 2nd annual car show. My Pastor was asking me today if I would be willing to help start a model car show/contest at the car show. I told him I sure would. What I’m thinking is having the first year a non competitive event, the following years could turn into an actual judged event if it grows into it. We will also have a building area so that we can build and so that people can see what/how we do what we do. Also it’s a chance to draw people into the hobby as well as a chance to promote the model car clubs that would be attending. What I would need is to know how many people would want to attend so that I know how much room and/or tables we would need to be set up. We would have an indoor area to set up, show and build. I’m hoping to see you all there, bring your models and your real car to show and have a great day!!!! I have also included the info from the churches web site....... Orchard Hill Assembly of God 2nd Annual Car Show http://www.orchardhillag.com/ August 31st, noon to 4pm http://orchardhillcarshow.vpweb.com/blog....l-Car-Show.aspx Greetings! I am excited about our 2nd Annual car show here at Orchard Hill Assembly of God! Last year we had a good mix of classic and custom cars. Our first place winner drove a '69 Pro-Street Camaro! I would love to fill our up our lot and grass areas this year with cars and trucks from any year (we could probably fit up to 70 cars). THAT MEANS WE NEED YOUR SHOW CAR OR TRUCK! Please feel free to arrive early to get a spot. We will reserve 20 spots for those who register early in the CONTACT US page on this site. Once you register, we will confirm your entry by email or phone. Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be given out! I am looking forward to seeing you on Aug. 31st! Blessings, Pastor Bryan http://www.addtoany.com/share_save#url=http Register you car or truck in the "Contact Us" page! Only 20 spots will be reserved! $5.00 fee to register. Funny Cars with batteries?
DrKerry replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That's what I've been thinking Dale. I've never seen a battery on board a top fueler and was pretty sure the cars on board electrics ran off the mags. Thus when they hit the starter at the line the car doesn't fire right away. It takes a few cranks and then it pops off. Gotta spin the mags to get the juice to fire, along with other things. On a positive thought.............. -
Koolsville!!!!
