  2. I hear ya, every place in the world has it's own and different rules.
  3. Right, saw a guy in Belvidere Illinois running a Maverick with the Caddies. Maverick took one hit to the passenger side door/quarter area, ripped the car completly in two right accross the back of the seat!!!
  4. I ain't got enough time in a day to write all of what I've done!!!!!!!
  5. Around here in Illinois and Wisc we can't run what ya rung kind of thing. They are pretty set in their rules. Although people tweak them a bit!!
  6. Nice place there George. Would love to have an area like that.... This is my area that I haven't sat at in over two years. I use the computer desk upstairs more than anything. Behind my chair. Tight quarters....
  7. Happy Fathers Day to all as well. Have a great day!!!!
  8. Well as a judge myself I don't see anything wrong with it at all. However when I judge I first look for what I call the "Gotcha Factor" if it jumps out at me it's gonna get my attention. I pick out detail as well, like what you have in the engine bay. I'll also go by subject matter, if it's been scratchbuilt or not. A lot of what you encountered with this build could of been the fact it didn't appeal to the judges so it got overlooked. The judges may have been into , say NASCAR and don't like the look of it and passed it by. I think a lot of times that happens and "some" cars don't get judged for what they are!!!
  9. I'm gonna try to make it to the show Nick!!!
  10. Here we have sub-compact clesses for the front wheel drive cars. we have truck demos for pick ups and vans. Heck we've even had combine demos awhile back....
  11. We couldn't run Imperials here either.. Heck here they ran taxi's and anything else...
  12. I was thinkin' the same thing!!!! LOL.......
  13. Now that is kool!!!!!!
  14. Can't wait to see how this turns out, got a good start so far.....
  15. That chassis work is out of this world....
  16. Awesome, the color and those wheels really set this thing into orbit!!!! Lovin' it!!!!
  17. The metal plate with the four holes in it would be bolted to the u-bolts that attach the axle to the springs. The other smaller u bolt that is up by the rubber snubber would bolt around the front part of the spring itself. When a car launches off the line without these you'll get a lot of wheel spin or wheel hop. With these the car will get better traction because it eliminates the twist in the front part of the spring, thus putting the traction where it needs to be, the tires!! This link will give more of an explanation..... http://www.competitionengineering.com/articles/chassis2.asp
  18. Two words sum this thing up!!!!!! Yup, two words.................................................................................................................................................................... "Nuckin' Futs"
  19. Looking at where the body sits aligned to the axle it'll come back a touch, but I agree if it could come back more. It may look kool with the engine out front like it is, not sure!!!! Looks kool on the frame though, can't wait to see it with some slicks under it!!!!!
  20. Cut down a grille shell and put it up front, mount the radiator in the trunk area. Leave the grille shell wide open to the engine?
  21. Amen, no rivet counter here, just glad to get the subjects we're getting....
