  1. This kit isn't the greatest as everyone knows, I didn't put a whole lot of effort into it just tried to make it a decent shelfer. I even glued the hood shut to hide that V6-looking 360. I added some aluminum tubing exhaust tips, and also the vinyl canopy top, otherwise it's box stock. Paint is Duplicolor Medium Garnet Red Metallic, I had a hard time getting a true representation of the color while shooting the pics. I left off the mirrors as I didn't care for them, and will slap on some license plates when I scrounge up a decent set. Oh yeah, those cowl vent need to be done too, I almost always forget those Lol! This kit was a little challenging at times, but I think I got about all I could out of it without 'bashing it with a Duster. Thanks for looking and any comments guys.
  2. Your weathering is fantastic, it looks unbelievably real. Very nice work. I really dig that transit van.

    383 'cuda

That is really sharp, nice to see one done up as a 383.
  4. What a remarkably beautiful build, Emmanuel! Very well done. I've got plans to do the same kitbashing someday as well, I just need to order the decals yet.
  5. I was saddened to hear of his passing when I woke this morning. A great frontman with lots of talent, it's just a shame he never could get over those demons. RIP Scott
  6. Now that is the definition of cool.....way cool. Excellent start. I'll be watching for sure.
  7. Thanks for the comments guys.
  8. That is downright beautiful. What a great color choice and terrific build.
  9. Thanks a lot guys. I've got the decals to do Hubert Platt's car as well someday.
  10. Sorry about the funky text layout! Not sure why it's doing that? I'm working on it..... Got it straightened out now.
  11. I finished this earlier this week and today got around to snapping some pics of it. Well, it's almost finished, after looking at the pics I see I need to touch up a couple things I had overlooked....the radiator hose, hood hinges, and the area around the screw in the gas tank. Duplicolor Ford Performance White was used as a very close match for Wimbledon White. Decals are Slixx. Made a number of mods/changes/additions along the way to make it a little closer to accurate as compared to what the kit offers... Filled in the exhaust cutouts on the rear valance. Made a non-GT grille using the Bullitt grille, outer trim made with .010 x .020 evergreen strips, and the corral & horse were trimmed out from the GT grille. Removed the battery and rebuilt the fender apron where it was. Removed the brake booster. Removed all accessory belts (power steering and whatever the other one was). Did away with the molded in blob of a carb and replaced it with a parts box piece, as well as the air funnel. Raised the suspension some for a better stance. Blocked off the radio, and added a floor shifter. Auto trans from the parts box (I'm pretty sure it's from the AMT '67 Cyclone). A fun build that went together with little issue. This kit has kind of a bad rap, but with a little TLC it can be made into a pretty decent looker. Thanks for checking it out and any comments!
