Great work everyone! Here's a short little update on my stuff. I've lowered the top on the hot rod and painted it black for now. For the GTX I've cut out the doors and truck then reattached them the trunk will have to wait until after I get the back of the interior in. And a little mock up test, I also thought it would be neat to compare the changes I've made to a stock one.

Thanks you guys! Here's another update on the GTX. The body work is proving to be a lot of work so nothing on it for now. Most of the trunk bay is done, I made the dashboard and am also trying to make my own seats. Thanks for looking, opinions and criticism always welcome. -

Thanks for the kind words Jason and Sonny! Here's another little update I fixed up the cuts sanded smooth the texture section on the roof and primed it grey then black. I'm now debating on whether or not to cut the doors free like on my GTX, decisions. . . Anyway, while I argue this with my self here's some pics. I also started working on the steering linkage, it will just be a bent rod. I lack the skills, tools and, resources to make the joints. Thanks for looking! -
I hate it when stuff like that happens, you're handeling it well. Great progress on it, the chute looks great! Looking foward to seeing more!

Wow this build is nuts, (in a good way) so much imaginative work and incredible fabrication. Definitely got my eyes glued to this now, can't believe I've missed it so far. The paint on the racer looks great, I could totally see that thing on the salt flats. Can't wait to see more! -

Well it's been a while since I've updated this, I've been pushing my GTX along for the past month so now it's time to start pushing the hot rod again. The engines were base coated with Tamiya silver chrome and then several coats of clear red to give it a nice candy red look. I also tried my hand at lowering the top, after the spectacular failure that the GTX was I was a little hesitant but wanted to try again anyway. Thankfully the end result this time was what I wanted. I wanted to take it down a little but didn't want it lowered so much that I would need a periscope so I could see out of it. I think in scale it should be about a 3 inch drop in the front and a 1 1/2 inch drop at the middle posts give or take. The engine painted red with those gigantic valve covers painted satin black. I also remade the steering setup, it takes up less space and should be more effective now. I forgot to cut off the extra on the linking pipe at the time of the photo, that's since been fixed. Thanks for looking! -

Here's a quick update before starting the body work I put some primer on it to better highlight all the bad spots. I also thought it would be neat to put it up along side a completely stock GTX I got off eBay a few weeks ago it looked really good and the price was right. Anyway I though it would be neat to put them side by side, stock and then mine to compare the changes. The dash board you see in mine is a mock up made out of cardboard. The truck lid is sitting on tape right now, I'll have to add some interior pieces before I can actually mount the truck lid. But I think I've said that before lol. The next time the body will be seen is after the body work is done. Thanks for looking! -
Nice work on the doors!

They both look amazing, you did an excellent job on them!
