  1. That is one sweet Duster, awesome story behind it too. I hope the model turns out as you hope, I'll be watching this build for sure.
  2. Here's an update. I'm going to keep working with this body I think I can make the windows look good so I'm on to other things now. This first pic is of the front end piece I had been working on which would have been bodied in. The second is with the chrome bumper, after comparing the two I'm liking the chrome a little more, your opinions on this are welcome and greatly appreciated. The next set of pictures are of something I've never tried before and that is cutting out the doors and trunk lid. As always thanks for taking a look.
  3. Very nice build, looks amazing!
  4. Very nice build!
  5. Beautiful black Coronet!
  6. Everything here looks stunning! Here's a couple of mine I thought were kinda cool, nothing near as stunning as you guy's cars. A converted 64 C-10 pickup to a Suburban, my first build after a 6 year hiatus and first ever custom build back in 2011. And a 70 AAR Cuda made for the 2011 Cannonball run cpb.
  7. Awesome job, that's really cool.
  8. Really nice build, love the color.
  9. Man that bites, but I really like the new car you're working on. Hope it works out for you.
  10. Awesome build, looks just as stunning as the real one!
  11. Very beautiful bird!
  12. I'm getting stuff done too, I've been working on the GTX I got the window posts to work to my liking so I'm not trashing the body or anything, I painted the engine's on the hot rod that's about it. I'll get pic's up sooner or later. I'm glad the forum up a running again, I look forward to seeing updates from everyone.
  13. Great work!
  14. Crafty coke can craftsmanship. It looks awesome!
  15. Nice start, it's gonna be fun watching this one.
  16. Nice build, great color, and good and shiny.
  17. Here's a quick run down on the GTX starting with a custom frame incorporating the Viper's front and rear end. The tires are from the Viper and the rims are from a 09 Challenger SE by Revell. Did a far amount of modding to the body removing all emblems, window posts, trim along the wheel wells (to open them up a little), and the trim alone the bottom of the body. It can't be seen from the picture but I also recessed the gas cap so it's flush with the body. This idea was barrowed from the Daytona in Fast and Furious 6. The most notable change is in the grill, I shaved out the insides and replaced it with some wire mesh. I'm also changing the back end a bit. I'm going to body most of it in getting rid of the chrome, I think I'll leave the bumper chrome though. I'm also bringing the tail lights all the way across and relocating the back up lights into the bumper or something. I may put them in the center of the tail lights like a Challenger too, haven't decided yet. The body of a GTX has got a little bow to it, the roof however is flat so it doesn't really follow the body line it goes up hill a little towards the front. I always thought it looked a little off so I thought I'd change that on mine and lower the front just a little, not to give it an angry squinted look or anything, just lower it enough to keep it consistent with the body. Now it should be noted that this is the first time I've ever tried lowering a roof and my inexperience showed. Using a lighter to warn the posts to bend them a little the plastic got to hot to quickly and curled all around. With one ruined I just cut the other side off and proceeded to make my own posts, hopefully I can make them look good, if not I'll have to locate another body. I wont be doing that again, at least not the way I did it. Anyway that's the past month in a nut shell for the GTX, the hot rod hasn't changed any, doing some planning right now mostly on colors. Opinions, idea's, criticism it's all welcome. Keep up the great work you guys!
  18. Very interesting indeed, color choice sounds good to me.
  19. Awesome job on it, looks mean.
  20. Thanks for your inputs you guys. Update time, the engine is sitting on it's own now and the rear end has been resized to fit. If you look at the body of a gtx it's got a little bow to it, the roof doesn't follow it, it goes up a little. So I thought I'd change that on mine a lower it just a little, not to give it an angry squinted look, just lower it to keep it consistent with the body. Here's how much I was going to lower it by. It should be noted this is the first time I've ever tried lowering a roof and my inexperience showed. Using a lighter to warn the posts to bend them a little the plastic got to hot to quickly and curled all around. With one ruined I just cut the other side off and proceeded to make my own posts, hopefully I can make them look good, if not I'll have to locate another body. I wont ever be doing that again, here's what it looks like now. Well see where it goes from here, thanks for looking!
  21. This will be fun to watch, looks great so far!
  22. Awesome build, it turned out really nice.
  23. Very nicely done Keke
  24. Awesome build! It turned out fantastic!
  25. Thanks you guys! Here's another update starting with the grill. The mesh is brass screen .006 dia. which was picked up off of ebay. A free sample actually, I bought a larger scale mesh screen a while back. I guess he was trying to promote a new product anyway as soon as I saw it I knew exactly were it was going. On the car Continuing with my modding spree I removed the window posts. I'm also changing the back end a bit. I'm going to body most of it in getting rid of the chrome, I think I'll leave the bumper chrome though idk, opinions welcome. I'm also bringing the tail lights all the way across and relocating the back up lights into the bumper. I'm also thinking about bodying in the front bumper. I have two and the chrome has worn off one of them so I thought I'd try it out, that will be part of the next update I think. Opinions, idea's, criticism, all of it is welcome. Thanks for looking!
