  1. Very nicely done! The weathering looks so natural!
  2. Awesome sleeper Bruce! Very nice work with the details!
  3. I never thought I would use these words as a compliment but that is a car I would never consider fast for any reason what so ever. Brilliant build Mike! As will be any cop in the area Fred. But I agree, the number of genius ideas and builds of been outstanding. Voting won't be neck and neck, it'll be mm by mm I think. Not to sound like "that" guy but the past two years I could tell who the clear cut winners would be. But this year, looking over the entries it's so, so close. This year has definitely (in my opinion) been the best year for the Cannonball with some of the best builds I've ever seen come out of this cbp. I'm very glad I was able to get mine done and be part of what will sure to be a photo finish. Good luck out there everyone!
  4. Saw your entries over in the completed thread Bruce and Bill. Awesome builds, both a very fitting of the "Sleeper" title. Very nicely done!

    Very nice build!
  11. Sweet build, my second favorite Skyline design.
  12. Here's my entry for this year's Sleeper themed Cannonball. It's a 64' Polara Wagon converted from the 64' 330 Color Me gone Drag kit. Built up to balance out performance and range with a paint job to look the part of a car fresh out of a junkyard. Build thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/107243-64-polara-wagon-cannonball-sleeper-build-completed/ Features: 6.1 Liter HEMI with implied CNC Stage 2 Intake and Heads. Front and rear suspension with all wheel disk brakes out of a 96-03' Dodge Viper. Dual exhaust systems, one set piped to single short glass packs for some punch. Another set piped to the rear with dual turbo-ish mufflers to keep her nice and quite when needed. Dribbler system into the rear mufflers to make it appear to smoke. Valve stems for the tires and a good old fashion antenna to really sell the look. Pictures: Thanks for looking, comment and critic's more than welcome.
  13. Thanks Tony! It's done and soon to be under glass. Thanks to all who watched and commented, this was my first and likely only build of 15' also my first heavy weathered build.
  14. Mines done and over in the completed thread. First time weathering and while it ended up a little more than I wanted I still like it non the less. Good luck to all who have finished and the those who are still working hard. See you all at the line.

  16. They've been appearing fine on my side, Win7 on either IE or Firefox. I'm bouncing them off of my Facebook page so that may be causing problems. I'll try using Photobucket for the final photos though, hopefully that will stop it from stretching them. The 'none of the above" option is fine with me Rob and Mike.
  17. Awesome console and games, I played you know who out of that gen. GT4 is still one of my most favorite games of all time, right up there with Spyro, Sly, Jak, Ratchet, and Crash games. I'm not as big a gamer now, I'm an hour or two every few days guy mostly playing Destiny on the PS3. I play a few others like GT5 and Transformers on occasion too. PSN is the same as here TFchronos.
  18. The decals turned out great Mike. It gives the PT a very nice look. Nice build Fred! Weathering looks spot on! Great work Bill and August! Looks like stiff competition this year, a lot of you are really hitting the mark. Speaking of which I'd like to present to all of you, the ultimate entry. Here it is. I found a way to make it invisible. Joking aside my wagon is done and I'll be posting photos tomorrow. Great work again you guys!
  19. Awesome work Bruce, Matthew, Bill and Karl! Last update for me, the end is in sight, should have her finished tomorrow. Scratch built some door handles. Finished the battery. Run the exhaust system. One set goes to single glass packs and another piped out to the back with dual mufflers to keep her nice and quite when needed. As an extra sleeper feature I installed little dribbler systems into the rear mufflers to make it appear to smoke. Also changed out the rear tail lights. I was going to use the kits but looking at 1:1 pictures I noticed they don't stick out as far as the kits, not on the wagon at least so I made my own. Kits original. Mine. Also I thought I would add a extra small little detail, valve streams to the tires.
  20. Thanks Mark! Scratch built some door handles. Finished the battery. Run both sets of the exhaust system. 21. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and their families.
  22. Very nice work Mike and Bruce. Very clever use of beads Bruce. I scraped the supercharger, after looking intensively at 1:1 I realized I made mine to big and for sake of accuracy I decided to not use it and put the stock manifold back on. Painted flat back to imply it's an aftermarket upgraded version. I also realized the kit doesn't have a battery with it so I'm scratching a racing battery for it. Got some plumbing done to the engine it's almost ready to mount. The front half of the interior is also done a ready to drop in. I'll build in the back half later tonight.
  23. Thanks Charlie, Dan, John and Todd. Yep John, that's a 6.1 out of the Magnum kit, sits in the bay very nicely. Thanks for looking!
