  1. Thanks everyone... as said some R&R's need lots of extra detail but only game in town is a true statment.... Besides the JF 59 Superior Ambulance resin body there are really no other main stream (maby a few on offs that you can pick up on ebay ) resin ambulance kits out there.... I had to use a rear bumper off a 55 cameo pick up as the resin kit one did not fit at all... interesting note if the body looks wide the Coach builders (ambulance and hearse makers) from the classic days made the bodies wider by about 12 inches when they built the rear bodys onto the front car clips... This model is curbside......
  2. Super Nice build.... Great scatch building and great detail!!
  3. All complete its a R&R Vacuform 56 Pontiac Ambulance the Paint is Krylon Burgundy Interior was modified and the rear has scratch built cabinets. With a Johan cot and radio. Lights are from the parts box with a Siren light from a Die cast 1938 Ford fire truck. Trim is BMF and the decals are Chimneyville let me know what your guys think…. 7. Ok Tell everyone your best use for these NEW towels...... Micro Fiber Towels you seen them on TV in the store..... My best use. After the paint is dry. I use Maguire’s Scratch-X and a micro fiber towel to buff out/polish my paint.... removes orange peal and give a nice gloss finish........ Also you bring your model to the show... Gregg would like to take a Photo of it... use the towel to get all you finger prints and dust off. NEXT!
  8. Brian this is a great kit.... the JF resin body can be had for under $10 if you get it from JF himself at a show... I added craft jewels to the JOhan light on the inside to get more detale... you can build yours any color combo you want as there were no state restictions on ambulance colors back then.... (some states still have restrictions such as they must be White with an orange stripe, and other states let you paint it any way you want) a nice color combo for an ambulance service would be off white and a nice hosta green color....
  9. Your right I could easly make one...... But i would like and unfinshed resin casting of one for my collection..... and an history I am writing ....

  24. Well, The resin was very nice to work with... Few to no pin holes, the kit came with the body, interior, front seat, frame. I used a 32 ford stock kit as the donor. The price was around $40 I think. I picked up two at the NNL East. The only thing I would chang is to make it a little longer and extend the back farther past the rear wheels... like this Photo... But it looks great just the way it is... kudos to RMR resins!!!!!! Hosted on Fotki The Trans kit and the donor Hosted on Fotki
