Ladder and stuff for a fire truck can come from the AMT Pumper or Ladder kit... for some ides on a 32 fire truck check out my 34 ford ladder truck.. I never finished it but it gives you an idea http://public.fotki.com/chrismooney/1934-ford-ladder/ Dominik I should add a wash to the grill...

Sorry for the late reply. I have Photos of this Van ill get them up ASAP and I do believe this van was modified for the film By Barris. The basic van was built by Superior or maby Wayn corp as a real ambulamnce the "tricked" out by Barris for the film. -

Thanks for the comments guys! Well she is almost complete. The tunnel lights were added the cab and body painted and now just some detail work.. Last week we had one day in the 60's... I have not painted a model in 7 months and the paint came out perfect... LOl I strayed from my sweet cream and banner red and went with Chery Red which gives it a nice darker color. i have the front bumper in the paint shop now and need to trim everything out in BMF. Oh and i stripped the wheels of the chrome using bleach and painted them red then painted the silver. I also used frosted glass for the windows my easy way out of making and inierior. More great plastic surgery!!! Great in progress photos -
After a long busy last few months I have fond my way back to the bench and the forums. I’m finishing up a few projects and started a few new…. The eye candy I have for everyone today is a 1957 Chevy Rescue truck. This started life as a Ertl Die Cast tanker truck in 1-24 scale. It is of nice quality and the cab looks great. I have two and plan on making on into a fire tanker. With this one I noticed the body work on the tanker look like and older utility body with out the tank. So I started cutting and hacking plastic and this is what I cam up with I have most of it finished and the first coat of primer on. I just have to add more body filler to the front of the rescue cab were it curves. Anyway on to the Photos… the first one is what I wanted the truck to look like Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki

I only use Krylon.. (Its cheep and works great on resin)... I always apply krylon Primer first.. And after that is dry for a day I apply Light mist coats of color about every 15 min apart but no more than 30-40 min. After you build up the color apply two to three wet coats and let dry for a day or two then polishes. If you apply the coats 40+ mins apart the coat under seams to off-gas and craze the paint job. Or you will get really fine bubbles.. so the rule is a coat every 15 to 30 min or you have to wait a few days... and if you have a color coat on and need to wait a day or two (works if using a two tone paint job) always apply mist coats to soften up the dried paint under and let the older coat and new coat bond...

It looks great!!!! it would look cool with something round above the dash or radiator to simulate a gravity gas tank.....
