  3. Well it’s complete. The RMR 32 Ford Ambulance. A great resin Trans kit that i picked up at the NNL east this year. Not may problems during build up. Paint is Krylon Burgundy with Krylon sweet cream wheels. Moonville decals from Joe at Die cast and decals Ambulance decals from micro scale. Any questions just ask. 4. Looking for model clubs in Wilkes Barre Pa or Allentown PA. let me know thanks guys
  5. Krylon like and brand of paint has a learning curve. You need to know how to spray it to get good finishes. For resin the primer is the best I have used. the best part isI have never neede to clear coat my finish.. just polish it ouot really good and it shines.
  6. I have to say I like every issue MCM puts out. Only one time did one get shreaded in the mail..... I called the publisher and got a second copy in less than a week. Great customer service!!! Also not to blow my own horm but thanks for picking my ambulance model at the NNL east to put in the July Mag. There were many other models there that were so much nicer than mine that were not published.... Thanks!!
  7. Dave glad your better. Did LVH or ST Lukes take good care of you.... they must have because your builds are looking better than ever.
  8. Great work! and great story behind the build.... You need a display case for it now....
  9. Aaron I use the Meguiars scrath X, formula 2001, and kit scratch out, the best would be the Meguiars, and works great on the Krylon paints....
  10. I use Bare metal foil and tamiya tape for the paint line then cover the res with painter Blue tape..... here are two exampels Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  11. Overall The casting in clean w/o and air holes in the outside finish.. the inside has maybe one or two (on my sample) but once built they will never be seen. Dave has some great molding and casting skills. The fine details... what can I say.. if you have seen the Ward LaFrance grill you know Dave’s attention to detail. the separate vents are sweet! along with the fine and to scale diamond plate lower nose panel and bumper extension... also the Diamond plate front door steps are very nice and clean.. these parts have no Air holes or pin marks and will look great either with Alcad, Bare Metal Foil or even chrome Krylon paint. The rear jump seat area is a nice touch to the cab as it eliminated the scratch building of a new jump seat and allows the builder to place this cab onto the AMT ALF Pumper Ladder or Aero chief body with very little modifications... A true user friendly feature. Now a new feature from Dave, would be the vacuumed formed windows. They are a well formed window that is nice and thin. the side windows have the correct curve and ever curve out were they should these should be no problem to put in even for someone new to resin kit's. Just a note for building being the fenders are separate and on the one to one units were Chrome you should either attach the fenders before painting and then after final coat apply Bare Metal Foil or leave off and Alcad them. the side vents should be sanded to fit and then applied as one of the last detail pieces... All I can say is another great product from our own Cargostar AKA Dave Carey http://www.modelsbydave.com/ Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  12. I have used easy off oven cleaner on resin w/o any problems.. also i am almost shure you can clean resin off with laquer thinner.... it wont melt it like it does to platic
