So coating with a sealer sounds like it adds something like a top skin that holds everything together as it slides off of the backing? I didn't know that actually worked. I figured it would create a chemical reaction and destroy the decal -

Is it Micro liquid decal film? Description says it restores old decals. I love hobby lobby I'll go have a look tonight but I don't recall them selling Micro scale products. Thanks for the advice. -

Is the re-issue of the 4x4 the blue version with different decals? It feels familiar to me for some reason -

Should I attempt to use the decals? I am afraid they may degrade or not adhere. Speaking of non adherence, would decal setting solution be sufficient for these if they do indeed fail to adhere to the surface? -

Exactly!! Whenever I buy a kit from someone they always ask, "you collect these or something" and I say, no I'm a builder. They always look surprised for some reason. I could never just hold onto a kit and never build it,it would drive me insane. -
I picked these up this morning off of Craigslist for next to nothing, but am not sure what I should do with them. I really want to build them, but something is also telling me to sell them to buy even more kits with the profit. All three are sealed. I'm really itching to build the 4x4. What say you gents?

What makes clearcoat yellow like this?

About four years ago I switched over to Model Master Ultra gloss clear and love the results I get from it. How safe will I be using this in terms of longevity? -

I built this back in 1995 and over the years the clear coat has turned yellow. The car was always stored in a climate controlled environment and I want to say that the clear used was Testors. Anyway,is this some sort of fluke that happened by having bad clear or is it the fact that I used to much clear? In the pics you can see that most of the yellowing is in the spots where the clear pooled up,but the yellowing also exists over most of the car in the thin spots. How can I prevent this from happening to future builds? My skills have immensely improved since this build and I would hate for my previous work to meet the same fate in the next 20 years or so.

This one here.....http://www.modelcars.com/lindberg-1971-ford-mustang.html -
For the past 20+ years I have always been skeptical of the quality of lindberg kits and because of that have never bought or built one. They now have a few models that I am seriously thinking of purchasing but i do not want to end up being dissapointed upon opening the box. Can anyone give their opinions on their kits in terms of quality, detail?? Upsides,or downsides? Thanks!!

I am in the process of building the 70 challenger 340 T/A 2 in 1 by Revell and am not to pleased with the amount of detail on the air cleaner. Is there a source that someone could suggest that sells a more detailed example? I have been searching the web all day today and the only thing that I can find is a complete engine. Thanks!!

Question for the OP, I take it from your username you are into R/C also? I thought I noticed a Tamiya F103GT in the background of the first pic.
