I have the same exact kit in my stash.......in fact I have two of them. One of them is for parts to "fix" the fitment issues these had. And to the OP, great job so far!

Beautiful work on an amazing car. I have the Protar 1:12 F40 in my collection of "not finished" and builds like this are an inspiration to pull it out and get back to work on it.
