  1. Thank you, the front grille will be created with rods to resemble billet. The front suspension however, that is going to be interesting.
  2. Any time I have done something like this, I used a pearl powder added to the intercoat clear before the clear topcoat.

    1988 Daytona

Hey welcome to the site! That Daytona really brings back memories for me too. I had a 1991 IROC Daytona in white that I used to autocross with. Nice job on the build! Would love to find one of these to add to my stable.

    BMW Z8

Always liked the look of the Z8. Your brother is lucky to have this to display, you did an amazing job on it for such a short time build. Great color and the interior looks quite beautiful.........great attention to the details.
  15. LOL The side coves were created using the two halves from a Corvette Grand Sport hood I had in my parts bin, the rear quarter coves were from the tailights from the same Corvette body. The filler I am using is Bondo Pro Gold. (Great stuff, bonds amazing to plastic when sanded.)
  16. Pete I enjoy watching your progress on this build! This is going to be a masterpiece.

  23. Great job on the sectioning. Dont know what you are using for glue but for big projects like this I use Ambroid Proweld. It melts the two pieces together perfectly and is very strong! Keep going I like what you are doing!
  24. I have the same exact kit in my stash.......in fact I have two of them. One of them is for parts to "fix" the fitment issues these had. And to the OP, great job so far!
