I want to build a lake racer from an airplane belly tank but I have no idea what scale airplane I should get a tank from to build a 1/25 scale car. Most of the airplane kits I see look to be 1/48 scale but I have very little knowledge on airplane sizes to know if that is the proper scale for the car I want to build. Anyone have an idea on this? Do any of you also build planes that may have the correct size belly tank you would consider parting with so I don't have to buy a whole kit just to get the tank?

Don Garlit`s: Swamp Rat 33 Streamliner 1/28/14

The only bad part about using that clear canopy is that it doesn't show up very well in the pics. Kinda reminds me of the old Wonder Woman invisible jet when the show was on TV when I was a kid. LOL -
Wow! Very nice! Would have loved to have seen this one in progress!

Looks like it's meant to be wrapped around the rotor to give the look of it being vented but that's just a guess.

I don't see any reason it wouldn't work but you may have trouble getting anything other than bright colors though. -

You know that the 65-66 Mustang is narrower and shorter than the 67-68, right? IF you are trying to make this as accurate as possible, you will need to add material. Just throwing that out there. -
I have a 1:1 '84 Fiero that is in the process of getting a V-8 right now.

Congrats to her and you! My daughter is one of those literal genius gifted and talented kids and graduated with her masters in business law from Harvard last year at the age of 21 and after passing the bar was promptly offered a job on the legal team for a very prominant Fortune 500 company. Thank GOD she went to school on scholarships because I'm quite sure there is no way I could have ever afforded a Harvard education.

We haven't decorated for Christmas, or anything else for that matter, in 6 years and probably won't this year. None of our kids are home for the holidays so it seems kind of pointless to us. That or I'm just to lazy to do it. Probably both.

Is that the app that uses those stupid hashtags? Can't stand that BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.

Can't argue that he's a serious badass but he's got to be one of the DUMBEST human beings to ever speak. I can feel my IQ dropping just listening to him. And I'm not sure who's acting is worse, his or Steven Segal.

Just we thought it was over! ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS

I definitely have NO interest in watching OCC. I would, however, watch anything that Jesse James does simply for the fact that his talents are amazing and I have a lot of respect for the fact that he built a 100 million dollar empire from the ground up with no financial help from anyone. Also, after meeting him in Sturgis I can tell you that his no BS approach to stuff is 100% genuine. -
The car show idiots that really irritate me are the ones that OWN the car and know absolutely NOTHING about it. Granted, it's rare, but there are those that the only thing they know about it is the amount they wrote the check for to the guy built it.

Watching the mid season finale as I type this. My wife got me hooked on it.

Most all of them use an automated air shifter that is triggered by an rpm activated switch.

That is a FANTASTIC flame job!

I've seen the this car (the 1:1) race many times. Great job recreating it.

You must have an in with someone for them to allow you to take pictures of their suspension setup. That's usually as top secret as cam specs for most guys.

Work in progress is correct.

This is probably my most favorite build to watch. What puzzles me is that I don't know why.
